So i pick the halfling up, and use him as a club to beat the orc...'

:D If think people can tell it's not very serious.

By the way, while "humanoid" is definitely exotic, should it be considered light, one-handed, or two-handed ?

Exotic one-handed - the same approximately as Bastard Swords. i.e. Simple for humans weilding halflings with two hands, Exotic if the use one.

In general, humanoid one size smaller requires two hands (simple), or exotic.
Humanoid two sizes smaller is one-handed.
Humanoid three sizes smaller is light.
Humanoid of equal size is two-handed exotic.
Quadrupeds count as one size larger.

Range increment is 5'.

I was thinking you could use the weight dameage chart in CW to work out how much damage it would do, and maybe do the same mount to the halfling too.

I think we can agree that while weapons don't take damage, a halfling isn't usually designed as a weapon...

Not unless he's got a stone skin on or Iron Body or something that makes him other than living tissue and not as breakable, Olive. ;)

CW has a nice chart, but I like the one in PG: Fighters and Barbarians myself.

In order to use someone as a weapon u have to be 2 size categories bigger than said creature to properly weild them. If u look at the text with the mountain giant in the MM2 is descibes throwing them u have to be this so weilding them in combat would have to be the same.

I just figured if u gotta go through that much to throw someone then weilding them outta require something close although I have nothing against using anything as a weapon from people to objects to boring them to death as my players tend to do everything I can think of. The penalty out to be a little greater than -4 given that a weapon with no prof is a -4 and swinging a live squirming individual is a tid bit harder. I got a 7 year old.

Not really for these reasons:

1) Tossing someone requires you pick them up and then toss them. In between that the guy can squirm free.

2) -4 is a solid penalty since they are moving and you're using an improvised weapon. Albeit living but still.

3) Anything greater than that people might decide to try something else.
