So, what are the 3rd party releases for this year?

Oooh, yummy. Any date on this one?

Winter 2005. From the Bastion Press 2005 catalog:
The Book of Curses is a 96-page sourcebook featuring:
• Curses and Hindrances as part of character creation
• Rules for creating new curses and making the existing curses that exist in the game truly terrifying
• More than 30 new cursed spells
• More than 12 new feats to make curses more deadly or shield against such afflictions
• Magical items and artifacts
• 4 new organizations that focus on curses
• 7 new prestige classes
• 2 new gods
• Sabotage rules
• More than a dozen new monsters and cursed templates
• 3 cursed locations and mini-adventures

I can tell you that the PrCs, at the least, are Messed Up (in a good, evil DM sort of way).

what kinds of 3rd party goodness we can expect to see from them this year?
MODERNIZED is still kicking, and should have a third issue out around April. The company behind MODERNIZED also has a couple of products in the works, to be released in partnership with Sleep Dep Creations. They are:

TESLA'S LEGACY: Nikolai Tesla was one of the great geniuses of the 20th century. Some of his inventions would (literally) blow your mind, and the ideas he didn't manage to perfect before he died are even more incredible. For full details of what Tesla's Legacy will contain, you'll have to be patient; there'll be a proper press release for that. However, the word "comprehensive" comes to mind when I think of how many different areas this book will cover.

REDNECKS & MECHS: If your mech has a gun rack, a beer cooler, and a Confederate flag painted on its torso, you MAY be a Redneck. This completely outrageous book contains its own mech-building system with a distinct hillbilly flavour. It's all about six-packs, Cadillacs, Southern Belles, and raisin' hell! YEEEEEEEEHAW!

Plus, I think Sleep Dep Creations has some of their own work to unleash on the world, but I'll let them spill their own beans.

Matt,

Have you set a US$ price for these yet?

Thanks!

Ruins of the Dragon Lord, last i heard, was $39.95.

No proce set yet for the 1,000 pager - there will just be a limited run of these and it will appear as a leather bound 'Victorian' era encyclopaedia. Think Britannica for monsters and you won't go far wrong. . .

Vikings D20: Midgard - Historical Europe as the vikings believed it to be. A low-magic world, with six new core classes and a host of new prestige classes. New spells, feats, monsters etc. The new spellcasting classes using a spellpoint/mana system, rather than spell slots.

Vikings D20: Beyond Midgard - A "Manual of the Planes" type book, describing the Nine Worlds from the Viking myths. Locations, monsters, PrCs etc. Focuses more on high-level play.

Various adventures for Vikings D20 - Short and long ones.

Time allowing, I'll also be writing books on the various nations of Europe in the Viking era. Their culture, geography, combat style, mythology etc.

Edit: I don't know what publisher name this will be released under yet. Is Viking Publishing taken? :heh:
