So, what Class are you dying to play?

Dragonborn fighter, focusing on racial feats. What can I say, wings, a breath weapon, and a big sword is too good a combo to pass up.

From what I've read, the fighter sounds like it's grown a lot and become an incredibly dynamic class. I have high hopes.

That said, I'm really itching to see how rogues and wizards turned out.

When I get a chance to play (the other DM in our group is not going to be an early converter) I would like to take a Dwarf Fighter for a spin (especially if there is some kind of Dwarven Defender/Deepstone Sentinel paragon path)

Phaezen

All of them, really, but I'm really interested in the Rogue and Warlock to start, with Ranger and Fighter and Wizard in a secondary position.

Paladin. I've been wanting to run one since 2e, and I haven't done it yet (mostly because I ended up with the wizard or rogue spot in the party, and the few times I've been able to grab a warrior, it's been in parties that a paladin wouldn't work well in.).

I want to play them all!

This is a tough one to answer. The Warlord has peaked my interest. Hmmmm...

With the changes to spellcasting, I may be interested in the Wizard class again. The current vancian system no longer appeals to me. I do not find it fun to hold back on casting spells in the hopes that I *may* use a spell later. And I do not find it fun blowing all my spells and not having anything to do the rest of the day.

I am also a fan of Rangers. So that is a possibility.

When 3E came out, I was highly interested in the Monk, but so was another player, so I went with my 2nd choice which was a Rogue. Since there are no Monks yet in 4E, I may go back to my roots and start as a Rogue. I haven't heard much info about them for 4E though. In most of our games, hardly anyone plays a Rogue, so this might be the class I end up trying first.

Heck, maybe I will do Fighter/Mage/Thief and get the best of all worlds :)

Hmm. Its hard to answer before seeing the classes, and I'll probably change this once I do.

I would like to play a spellcasting-heavy cleric, one who fights with a sword in his right hand, and a holy symbol in his left. This is all the fighter/mage I need, and if I had to pick right now what my first character would be, this would be it.

I would almost certainly like to play a fighter. I know I've been carping in other threads about swashbuckler types, but they're not the only type of fighter I enjoy.

I would probably also enjoy the ranger, the rogue, the warlord, and the warlock. I'm left a little cold by wizards and paladins, but that's always been the case regardless of edition.

I guess warlord but the real answer is all of them. One of the great things about 4e will be the better class balance so everything is now viable. I won't suck if I play a fighter, or feel guilty for playing a wizard.

Though once Eberron 4e comes out multiclassed warlord/warlock warforged will be the connoisseur's choice.

When reading through Races & Classes, at the end of each class section I said to myself, "OOOooo, I want to play that more than anything!" And then after the next class, I said "No, I want to play that more than anything!" And then after the next class, I said "No, I want to play that more than anything!"

So I guess my answer is "all of them."

However, Wizard has always been my favorite class, and I'm psyched about playing one who doesn't really run out of spells, so my first character will probably be a Wizard. Or a fighter multiclassed to take some wizard powers and rituals. Or a rogue with some wizard powers. Or maybe a warlock.
