Even if you have Sorcery Points as a Sorcerer, these points can still only be used on Metamagic.

If you're a level 6 Sorcerer and level 10 Wizard who took this feat 3 times, you have 12 sorcery points that can be used on Metamagic but only 6 that can be used for Flexible Casting.

Just like how the Martial Adept feat grants you a 1d6 Superiority Die but has no rules for increasing it's level, even if you're a Battlemaster.
