Yeah, I know those options. Unfortunately it still leaves a "trail" and I can't install software on my work computer. Thanks anyways.

At a work that strict, don't try it. They likley have remote veiw options on your PC.

I have never had a single virus, spyware or BSOD on this computer, and the Win 2000 installation is almost 3 years old.

I like win2k myself. my junky home PC has taken lethal registry damage and still is going very strong. [ I am tooo lazy to reformat]

The company I work at pretty much lets anything go.

But then again, we're a computer game company, and nearly all of our employees are professional nerds who never break anything.

They don't monitor individuals' computers, nor do they track keystrokes. I'm more interested in a general printout of what websites you've been to as my last job had an IT department where they could do that. I don't think "Monster - Demon", "Monster - Dragon", etc. (from the SRD) would look too good!

I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but if the browser (and the browser's history and cache) and the web pages are both local to your USB key, there'll be nothing to monitor for network/internet activity. The browser won't be going out to the internet, just to local files on your USB key. That's the whole idea behind downloading the Solvelior/Sage SRD, is so that there is no network/internet traffic to contend with; it's all right there at the speed of USB2 transfer, and it works even when your computer isn't connected to the internet.

I have a suggestion for you. You should set up an email list to notify people when you've updated the SRD. If you're interested and need a hand, let me know.

Well, as I said, I'm working on getting a new host where I can upload the files myself (it's going a little slow), but when that happens, and if it's possible I might try using an RSS-feed. If that doesn't work I'll be sure to ask your assistance

I was running Firefox from my USB key today and it worked like a charm!
