Sovelior/Sage SRD

Well, 25GB might not look like a whole lot compared with other sites. However, if you imagine, that this traffic is generated only using simple HTML files (not even pictures), then those 25GB sure look a bit different. :)

To help ease any issues downloading I mirrored the new Sovelior/Sage SRD to here. You can get the zipped offline version (without the 7z file inside) here.

As one of the (more numerous than you think) Mac users on these boards, you have my thanks. A quick, clean download, and Stuffit Expander opened it right quick.

I've got a question about this very topic (timely!). I use the SRD all the time and I've saved the zipped file to a folder on my desktop at work. I click on one of the files in the folder and then go from there.

Is there a way to view it without it showing up on Internet Explorer? I thought I would be viewing it offline, but the pages still show up in my History on IE - I guess cuz they're html files... (bad if the boss checks ;) )

You are not a computer person are you? ;)

Not a problem though. Those files are webfiles and they can only be viewed in a webbrowser (no matter if on- or offline). Either you install another browser like firefox, opera, netscape or you simply delete your cache in the internet explorer. (Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files and Clear History)

Quoted for truth!

Oh, and by the way mythusmage, since OS X 10.3 (I think), creating and expanding zip files has been built into the OS. No more need for stuffit! Just select a file in the Finder and go to "Create Archive of..." in the File menu. Voila! ;)

Still on 9.2. OSX won't install on old iMacs. (I am taking donations at my blog, reachable through my website.)

Of course, once I have a new Mac I'll be sure to check out the archiving feature.

Yeah, I know those options. Unfortunately it still leaves a "trail" and I can't install software on my work computer. Thanks anyways.

Propose the installation of Firefox on work computers. Cite the browser's stability and security advantages compared with IE.

Portable Firefox is optimized to be run from a USB drive. If you put the local copy of the S/Sage SRD there too, you load nothing onto the hard drive of your work computer and leave no trail there.
