I think that's a legacy of 3e. No such limit anymore. :D
That's good to know - I play a quickling* scout, in tongue-in-cheek game, that has a jump modifier of over 100.

Its great zipping around like a blue-ar$ed fly and dealing a point of damage if I'm lucky (plus a little skirmish damage)

*Unfortunately not the one planned for Dragon. :(

Fun character!

Seeing as we've heard nothing from WotC regarding our pending stuff, we'll probably get them in the CC in the not-too-distant future.

Also known as the giant or aga toad, neotropical toads are characterized by horizontal pupils and enlarged poison glands located behind the eyes. They measure 6-8” long and can weigh up to 1 lb., while a marine sub-species can grow up to 9” and weigh 5 Ibs.

Combat: Like poisonous frogs, neotropical toads secrete a venom when irritated or threatened. The venom of this toad is cardiotoxic, disrupting normal heart. rhythms if ingested or introduced in the blood stream. If simply touched, the victim suffers from stinging, burning, and numbness in the exposed area for 1-6 hours. If this is a hand, nothing can be held for that period of time due to irritation.

A poisoned victim must make a saving throw for each round of contact with the toad, with a -2 penalty if the poison is introduced into an open wound, swallowed, or delivered via an envenomed weapon. If this saving throw is failed, the victim suffers from tightness in the chest, convulsions, salivation, and seizures, followed by death in 1-4 minutes. A successful
save indicates only irritation as outlined above.

Habitat: Neotropical toads can be found in most temperate environments from deserts to jungles. They live in areas where insects, the toads’ only source of food, are plentiful.

Ecology: The neotropical toad can be helpful to farmers, feeding on crop-destroying insects. When mating there is fierce competition for females, who may have to contend with up to 12 suitors at one time.

Skills: A toad’s coloration gives it a +4 racial bonus on Hide checks.

Since it had a hop speed, we should probably give it a +12 racial bonus on Jump checks, and use its Dexterity modifier rather than its Strength modifier on Climb, Jump, and Swim checks.

This is interesting.

Perhaps they retain the gills from their tadpole stage, allowing them to breathe water as well as/instead of air?

Other than that
Allow them to advance further, a better swim speed/ranks, make their poison more deadly/effective (like aquatic snakes)?

<edit>and remove climb and jump?

My comment on removing Climb and Jump only refers to the marine variant. So don't forget the +12 racial mod on Jump. Plus if they live in trees like real poison arrows frogs I suggest a racial bonus to climb/ or a climb speed which will give them a bonus anyway. :)
