Copies of Spelljammer are starting to show up. Mike Long of Tribality is in receipt of the books and has tweeted some photos!
But that's actually a strength here: the Monk and Barbarian abilities clearly donallow for the math to be changed by this feature. So does the tortle and yet it's been specifically called out as not working that way with monks or barbarians. Then there's the specific rules for monks and barbarians. So what happens when two specific rules contradict each other again? Ah, the joys of "natural language."
You can hold more weapons, so you don't have to fiddle around swapping.Heh. Well the pictures say otherwise?
That's still pretty dope, though.Nope. In order to use the two-weapon fighting you need to attack with two LIGHT weapons. Having extra arms doesn't change that. Even the Duel Wielder feat states "you can use two-weapon fighting even when the one-handed melee weapons you are wielding are not light".
So, RAW, you can't do that. What you can do is is fight with two light weapons and a shield, or cast a spell with S and M components with a shield and light weapon equipped (good for EKs).
As per RAW, your secondary hands cannot: help hold a two-handed weapon, hold a shield, load ammo, or perform S and M spell components.
Why?That's still pretty dope, though.
Being able to wield two rapiers and a shield, or have a sword and shield while using an Arcane focus? Badass. Why?
Rapier isn't light.Being able to wield two rapiers and a shield, or have a sword and shield while using an Arcane focus? Badass.
Goes back to thri-kreen having gish potential.sword and shield while using an Arcane focus
Still badass.Rapier isn't light.
With the Duel Wielder feat, you can use one rapier, a swortsword and a shield (and a spell component pouch).
