The Angel premiere was much more engaging than the recent Buffy episodes, IMHO. I suppose spoiler space is called for, as Angel may be on a different day in Canada (it was last year, anyway).

The Wesley storyline is coming along rather well. If they become friends or allies again (and I suspect they will), it certainly won't be easy. Fixing everything in one episode cheapens the whole storyline.

I see the kid has been added to the opening credits. He makes an interesting addition to the cast. It's too bad the Buffy and Angel shows are separate now, because it would have been interesting to see Buffy meet him. I don't really care if Lorne comes back.

Those hallucinations were pretty cool. That beginning piece had hallucination written all over it, it was SOOO Norman Rockwell.

The whole Cordelia thing still seems like it's come out of nowhere, and so it's hard to tell at this point if it'll be good or if it's just lame. And then there's the question of how the Angel-Cordy thing will go.

It was an okay episode. I really don't like Conner and was never happy with the way that all went last season. I like the Cordelia part and I hope that goes somewhere cool. I imagine Lorne will eventually come back, he's cool and better then Conner.

You people arn't really missing Alias to watch the spinoff-show of a spinoff-from-a-movie show called Angel, are you?

Alias is the best fantasy show on the air right now. And if you didn't even know it was a fantasy show, that just goes to show that you have not watched it very much!

Seriously - go on watching Angel. But in the very least Tivo or Tape Alias (or borrow a copy from a friend). It is worth it.

What a great episode! I was really impressed.

-When we find out that Wesley is keeping a slave in his closet.
-Better yet: "I'll take away your bucket."
-The scissors chair. That thing's gonna give me nightmares.

So where are things gonna go? Is the slave-girl (what's her name? My girlfriend pointed out that she's got the same name as a slave-girl in a Marquis de Sade story) gonna stay evil? Will W&H recruit her? Will Connor rejoin the flock? When will the Host get back to LA where he belongs? When will Cordy stop being an Angel? When will she get rid of that horrible hair?

I'm way looking forward to this season.

Her name is Justine.

I saw it last season and was not impressed. I'll stick with the doubly spin offed Angel Thank You very much.

I usually can see things coming a mile away on that show, but I did NOT see Wesley keeping Justine as a slave girl in his closet! How long did he hold her in there, months?

Crothian is right. Alias blows. Not as much as John Doe blows. But it blows nonetheless.
