Spring Attack question.

First Post
A monk uses spring attack to run up to a collosal creature, punch it in the jimmy, and then run away. I was recently rereading Spring Attack, and it looks like the monk should suffer no attacks of opportunity, as per RAW, even though he's running through a large number of threatened squares. Does this sound correct? Does anyone have a different interpritation?

The monk suffers no attack of opportunity from the creature he is attacking via spring attack. So if there is another monster threatening the monk, that monster is free to AoO him.
