Star Wars – The Clone Wars: Kaminoan Incident

As usual, Zak is the last to react to the news, listening to each add their input.

"We should go with some decorum - it may not be wise to rush to such an important meeting. That said, let's hurry," Zak said, seemingly contradicting himself.

"Rei, I will carry you with the Force, if you wise. But you should walk on your own when we get close to the Master Yoda," Zak offered.

As a reward for Tal for ferrying her about the temple's vastness the Kushiban rubbed his neck and shoulders with her bushy tail. Tal always just seemed upset, and it was Jaq'lene's way to try and cheer him up. She knew pets made people happy, humans anyway, and if it would make Tal happier she could act the pet, even allowing him to pet her, though truth be told, she didn't mind annyone petting her, especially just behind her ears, or her tummy.

"If they want us present we should make all haste, it must truly be important for them both to take time away from their other duties to meet us." the diminuitive female chittered at the others, the blue highlights of curiosity swirled through her fur even faster as she said it. She was doing her best to avoid thoughts on the new specimen, predators as a rule hunted small furry animals such as she, and one that could hunt with the force was even more frightening.

Kyle tried not to stare too long at Rei's sweat-soaked shirt. "You are never too grungy for us, Rei," he said with an amused smirk. Finally looking her in the eye he explained, " Personally, I would like to look almost presentable when granted an audience with any of the Masters. I am going to cut through the repair bays, I think I left a flight jacket there when I was helping Zak yesterday. I'll catch up with the rest of you in the main corridor."

Rei laughed at Zak's suggestion that he carry her with the Force. "Careful there! Wouldn't that be misuse of the Force, my young newly minted Jedi Knight?" she teased, tossing the towel into a nearby laundry bin.

Turning to Kyle, she rested her hands on her hips. Her brow arched precariously for a moment while he perused but the amused smile negated anything harsh about it. "You like sweat? Next time I'll work you to the ground."

"You guys head off, I'll catch up in a little while once I get reasonably cleaned up. Don't want to be too stinky." Waving them off, she hurried toward the showers at a quick pace.

"Oh, Oh." The first oh is light, but the second Dyr is unable to hide his disappointment. "Yeah I suppose it can wait. I'm sure you have enough time to take a shower and clean yourselves up. I was just told that we should report to the council chambers in half-an-hour. And that we all should be prepared to leave on our missions today. I expect they'll want to keep me here, too risky to send a rare healer out into the galaxy." Dyr shrugs his shoulders fatalistically. "It's been nice to see all my old childhood friends again, though" says Dyr brightly. "I've missed all you guys."

Rei waved at Dyr, indicating that she heard his words before diving into the locker room. Nothing like a cold shower to work off all the aches and pains. Ten minutes later, she dressed in her new robes...brand new robes. Ones she herself designed to indicate her status as a Jedi Knight with individuality.

Comfortable black pants with sheer panels on the sides of her thighs and hips. A nice addition if she thought so herself. Patting her flat six-pack belly, Rei thanked the fifty stomach crunches she did every day to maintain that. The rest of her clothes really was a close-fitting type of pseudo leather that let her skin breath and exposed those hard-won abs. Over all that she had a black outer robe, but that spent most of its time tied around her waist along with her precious twin lightsabers.

Shaking her now long black hair with its crimson highlights, Rei gave herself a wink in the mirror and headed off to wait for the others outside council chambers.

"Only if I intended as anything other than working on my skill with the Force," Zak replied, though mostly likely too late to be heard by all of the others as then began to leave the training grounds.

Zak looked himself over, noting his simple beige jedi robes and their contrast with his azure skin. Nothing appeared out of place, so Zak remained in the training room.

"Tell me of this predator, Dyr," Zak asked in a deep earthy voice. He listened as Dyr spoke on about the creature, while Zak keep note of the time. At fifteen minutes till the meeting, Zak motioned with his hands that they should attend the meeting.

Kyle darts out of the room for his quarters. He figures he can rinse off and grab fresh clothes instead of appearing as a scruffy-looking nerf-herder. He is barely in the shower when he is out again, drying off and grabbing fresh clothes. He dons his most official looking uniform, brown in color, his khaki tunic and the black robes his mother gave him as a gift for becoming a Jedi Knight.
He races through the halls and a turbolift or two to meet his friends in the main corridor, 10 minutes before they are expected.

Rei glanced up as Kyle came running down the hallway. "Whoa there, speedy!" she called out with a smile from where she was leaning against the wall. "Still have ten minutes before we have to line up."

Her face falls a little. "And get sent our separate ways...do you think all of us will be able to keep in touch? We could get sent out into the unknown regions and not see anyone for decades..."

Tal will go off alone to retrieve what little he has left in the way of travelling gear. As he gets about thirty meters down the hall, he suddenly remembers that Jaq'lene is resting on his shoulder.

"Don't you have anything in your quarters to fetch, Jaq'lene? You're certainly welcome to come with me, for I know you travel light, but there is no telling how long you or I may be away on our missions."
