Star Wars d20 newbie questions

are miniatures a required part of game play? D&D 3.5 (and 3.0) basically required miniatures to make the best use of many of the combat rules and feats, etc. Appreciate it again.

The combat system is almost exacelty like D&D (3.0 anyway) and so miniatures are as important. On the bright side the new StarWars Miniatures game just came out so there are (finally) plentiful miniatures to be had. No more using orc hordes for storm troopers!

The combat system is almost exacelty like D&D (3.0 anyway) and so miniatures are as important.

Miniature, game piece (e.g., Monopoly), Little Green Army Men, or extra dice to represent your PC on the battlemap. Heck, if you're a cheap SOB like me, just print out flat tokens.
