Arcos is briefly concerned about his master's criticism, but quickly shakes it off.

Arcos then sneaks toward the security booth, making sure to pay attention to what is around him

The Jedi moves carefully around the other parked speeders. As he gets closer to the booth, he can see inside it; there is a small control panel to the pad's gate, but otherwise it is empty.

Just outside the booths door, Arcos can see some kind of dark red liquid spattered lightly on the ground.

Arcos looks for a trail or source of the red liquid, while trying to pay extra attention to the noises around him.

The red spatter looks to be limited to just outside the booth's entrance, made up of many tiny droplets. The spatter pattern is no larger than 30 centimeters in width. Arcos can see no source, but the pattern trails off to the platform's edge.

As the Jedi studies the booth, his senses hear a shuffling sound from behind. Before he can react, a low voice calls out. "Don't...don't move. Turn..turn around slowly." the voice says hesitantly. "I don't want to hurt you."

* Strange. Two Twi'leks, and they communicate in Basic instead of Ryl? *; Yun looks briefly up from his examination of the Jedi artifacts at the playing of the message.

Turning his attention back on the medallions and crystals before him, Yun tries to recall if he ever came across anything similiar during his actual, however scarce, studies of Jedi lore.

Arcos turns around slowly and says, "Don't worry about me. You should be glad that I don't want to hurt you...yet."

The Ensign turns back to face Mira and drops his hands to his side. "The Mirage Queen? I see. Perhaps then you wouldn't mind accompanying us back to headquarters and answer a few more questions?"

The officer smiles warmly. "Now- if you don't mind."

"Um.. No, I don't mind.. Is there something wrong? Oh, don't tell me I've got a parking ticket or something!" She finished off her drink and stood to follow the man.

In front of him Arcos sees a figure hunched down in a grey open speeder 10 meters away. The figure is dressed in grey clothes and holds a blaster in a shaky gloved hand, pointed at the Iktochi. The figure wears a black breather mask with large black inscet like eyes; a large maroon turban like piece of fabric is wrapped around its head and neck.

"A Jedi?" the figure says. "No matter, I'm leaving. Just stay there and I'll be but a memory."

Holding the blaster on Arcos, the figure reaches to power the speeder. The vehicle lurches upwards for about a meter. As it does, the figures mask starts to comes loose.

For a split second the being is distracted, unable to decide what is of greater priority- the controls, the blaster, or the mask.

The officer's face grows suspicious. "Slowly hand over your weapon, and I'll explain everything. I dont think youve been very forthcoming Captain Cardell."

From behind, Mira catches a flash of motion. Behind the bar, Lucky reaches underneath the bartop. The soldier near the door catches the movement too, as does the officer. Many of the patrons do as well and duck under the tables as the cantina erupts in a flurry of action.

Initiative:

Lucky
Mira
Officer
Soldier

The Zabrak grasps a small hold out blaster and aims it in the direction of the soldier near the door. "Lousy uniforms! Leave tha lady alone!" He fires but the shot misses its target.

Lore roll 9+4=15 Yun recognizes the medallions as Jedi credits, a Corellian tradition among Jedi from that world; Minted by a new Jedi Master for friends and family and used as symbols of relationship. They had political and social power not monetary value. The tradition is old and still in use among Corellians.

The name Kedda Halcyon has no meaning.

The crystals appear to be ornamental, their type unknown. Each crystal has different lines of the Jedi Code etched in them in tiny lines of Basic. But Yun knows of no tradition associated with such a object.

(OOC: Just to eliminate any suspicion, the message in Basic shouldnt be thought of as odd, being on Corsucant Basic is the lingua franca and often used out of habit-even among members of the same species-- and by dms trying to avoid linguistic problems :) )
