Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

There is a long history in Star Wars of the Dark Side being able to blind people. My head cannon is that it's like a perpetual mind trick, making people see what they want to see instead of what is right in front of them.
Sure, but this isn't the same case. Palpatine and the other Sith hid their power completely. The force suppressed is gone. Palpatine didn't come across as a normal force user to the Jedi. He didn't register at all.

Osha has some force ability still and Sol knows her VERY well. The lack of the force would have clued Sol in very quickly, even if he didn't sense deception, which he probably should have. Mae isn't nearly as strong or knowledgeable as Palpatine, so I doubt she could even hide her presence.

But her boss can.

What I think is that this is a minor plot hole as a Jedi Master wouldn't be fooled by the twin thing.

It's not nearly as bad as in Revenge of the Sith when Padme has twins and everyone in a futuristic society, as well as the Jedi in her life, were all surprised. And she had a name ready in about half a second! We'd have known that about those twins in about 6-8 weeks here on Earth.

Edit: That meme wasn't aimed at anyone here. I've just heard talk about some of the more rabid fans over time and thought folks would appreciate it.
You're not exactly helping though. Just because there are plot ho... ooops, can't call them that. Bad @Maxperson. These are plot holes, they're inconsistencies. But, just because there are inconsistencies in other places doesn't excuse them here. It's not like Revenge of the Sith is held up as a great movie or even a good one. Not as bad as probably the worse Star Wars movie is hardly praise.

Plus, she just decides to die. Just awful writing. But, ya, how could they not know it's twins? Those movies.....

oooh!!! man!!!

I enjoyed the heck out of Episode 6.

Gotta see a light whip!
Gotta learn about cortosis (and how the helmet worked was a great explination)!
The Stranger(?) said a couple of things that I've heard somewhere before (papa palpatine?)
The "mirror" scenes: Oshie is "free" Mae is "restrained", the "Sith" caring, Master Sol stern.

AND i don't trust Vernestra, I think she is going to hang this all on Sol.

I figured it would be a filler, but man did I enjoy it and the writing.

And I think I better understand now why the Sith wanted the Rule of 2:

They were trying to create a Force Dyad. (mabye its not the only reason, but is sure as heck seems like one) AND how did I miss that star wars is as much about twins as it is about the ones?

It's a minor plot hole. I don't agree that some of the other things you label as plot holes are real holes. There's no inconsistency dealing with the death of the wookie or the cortosis. Sensing the death off stage is probably not the best way to do it, but when dealing with Jedi, just knowing things like that is par for the course. The cortosis is visually explained. The Jedi were confused by the rare metal. And Sol didn't need to know about cortosis to realize that the helmet was blocking his ability to read minds(if he even has that ability).

Im calling it now. That scar.

Its a whiplash

And now I am really reaching: I think Qimir is Vernestra's Padawan Imri Cantaros. In canon he is "dead" and died about a 100 years before the show. After all Vernestra did say "She (mae) was trained by a jedi, i can see that from the holovid" (or something to that effect)

OK, this episode was great. Give the showrunner a crack at Kreia. She’s said in interview she wants to do Knights of the Old Republic (II).

I'm not so sure about that. Going by what Palpatine says to Rey in Episode IX, the Sith Rule of Two is a twisted form of immortality where, when an apprentice strikes down their master, the master's spirit and the collected spirits of their predecessors are passed on to the apprentice.

Palpatine had previously been thwarted -- Maul and Count Dooku were never "real" apprentices, just pawns in the long game to get the real prize: Anakin Skywalker, who was most likely created to be the ultimate vessel for the Sith spirits. But of course that didn't go according to plan, so Palpatine tried again, this time with Rey.

Palpatine wanted Rey to kill him so all of the Sith spirits inhabiting his undead body could be passed on to her. It wasn't until after she'd refused, and Palpatine then sensed her connection to Ben, that he used the power in their dyad connection to regenerate his own body.

(EDIT: Come to think of it, Snoke says he created the connection between Rey and Ben, and then Palpatine says Snoke was just his puppet, so maybe he already knew about the dyad ... but it would still have been more of a back-up plan, with his first choice being Rey as Sith vessel.)
