I'm not so sure about that. Going by what Palpatine says to Rey in Episode IX, the Sith Rule of Two is a twisted form of immortality where, when an apprentice strikes down their master, the master's spirit and the collected spirits of their predecessors are passed on to the apprentice.
Wouldn't that mean that each master is more powerful than the one before? I think some of the Sith of old were much more powerful than Palpatine was.

Of course if what Palpatine said was true, the Rule of Two isn't limiting Sith to only two in existence at any given time. There could be 10 Sith running around in pairs, all following the Rule of Two, and all passing knowledge on in the same way.

Not necessarily. I think the idea is more that the master seeks an apprentice they can take over, thereby extending their life. Yes, sometimes the apprentice proves to be more powerful and would grow stronger by absorbing the knowledge and power of their master. That could go some way towards explaining why Palpatine was so hard to kill permanently. All that accumulated Sithness adamantly refusing to be subsumed into the living Force or whatever.

Think of it as being like if Korra's uncle and Vaatu had succeeded in establishing a line of Dark Avatars.

Eh. Maybe. But I imagine that the line established by Darth Bane would have sought to be the only line, stamping out any others they came across. There can be only one (line of Sith). That sort of thing.

I like the concept myself. I think it's one of the better ideas to come out of Episode IX.

Downside of Disney Star Wars. It all leads to RoS.

Dyad, M count, and midichlorians can all be dropped into the nearest black hole and I wouldn't be to upset.

My theory is Qimir is a Sith. But he's not the master she's yet to be revealed. Probably fairly obvious.

Venestra either buries the information or she's not sure as he may be a dark Jedi.

Oshas mother coukd get into minds and Qimir knows about the events on Brendok. Only one of the twins mothers is confirmed dead. Her other one wasn't a fan of the Jedi.

Even if Mae/Osha/Sol blab.......

quotes from the article, and my replies:

I think it’s by far the weakest link in this series, and it’s the central storyline so that’s problematic

I think its supposed to be the weakest link. Literally. They barely hold all of this together. They are divided in their own loyalties/focus. In a sense balancing each other but because of that "weak".

Ultimately, not much happens this episode and then it ends.

We find out about cortosis, and mind dampening
We find out about the sith desire for diads
we see, demonstrated on screen for all to see, both masters behaviors towards "students"
We see Sol finally make an important decision to face his past (by not allowing the Jedi to pick them up)
We get more info about the Stranger (attacked by his master)
Also the author of the article then does what I just did and list a whole ton of stuff that DID happen in the episode.
We get a small scene of Vernestra talking politics, and being very concerned about the "optics"

From a google search, and wookepedia, Vernestra's was born in 248 bby. She is a touch over 100!!! :)
