Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

Did they ever give an adequate explanation for why there aren't Time Lords everywhere? They traveled the timeline for ages before the Time War happened, so there should be Time Lords all over the timeline from before they died in the war.
Time Lords don't travel. They consider Gallifrey to be the peak of civilisation and see no reason to visit other worlds. Even their black-ops division the Celestial Intervention Agency (cute) tends to work through agents. Renegades like the Doctor and the Master are very much the exceptions.

Did they ever give an adequate explanation for anything? But are your familiar with the "lost story" Shada (in it's various incarnations)? There is a stray Timelord in that. Also one in The Armageddon Factor and Planet of the Spiders. The Invasion of Time suggests timelords are mostly unadventurous stat-at-homes, and they don't seem to be very numerous, all living in one city, which doesn't look all that big.

Timelords are Hobbits. They don't go on adventure unless they have to or are the very rare one with wanderlust.

Wow. Loved it.

Basically what I expected. An ever escalating series of cluck ups. No one is to blame (as the zen masters say) they all pulled on the thread, and it created this messed up situation.

I had a thought.

Sol clearly wants a student in this episode. We see that about him. I think this show is not about Acolytes, but Masters. They want to pass on what they have learned.

And I think Sol is basically a "good" guy. He feels guilty about his own actions. He is a flawed master, but at some level acknowledges this. The Stranger is a "bad" guy because he does the opposite. He thinks his flaws are okay, and feels no remorse or guilt over the things he has done. Is the line between good and evil this thin?

And how does the Stranger fit into this, and why is the Stranger wanting these 4 Jedi dead? Mae has to kill them specifically?

Im looking forward to the finale!!!

Koril seemed to be conspicuously not dead at the end of that mess. A bit weird that most of the witches died because of their own whammy on Kelnacca, At least it makes sense now why we did not see Kelnacca fight earlier though: they were saving the goods for this episode. Not entirely convinced Torbin offing himself makes sense, though he obviously was an important player in this whole screw up. Responsibility ultimately lay with Sol and Aniseya for misjudgment at the critical moment.

Okay, this threaded the needle. I was a little worried that whoever effed up would come across as unreasonable, but ... this felt right ... or it felt like a tragedy of characters doing the best they can with the information they had and still messing up.

Did they die? I'd have them alive.... They were just unconscious in my fiction. But I bet they're dead

It was a cluck up but Sol and that other Jedi were idiots. Ultimately it's on them.
