I liked it. When they opened with
TJ in the cabin
my reaction was,
"what, benevolent god-like aliens rescued them? Lame..."
then they continued to the rest of the story and it was fleshed out sufficiently for my tastes.

(I didn't really consider that a spoiler since it was revealed in the first five minutes, but I decided to block it anyway in case somebody is a little more sensitive than that. :))

So, what does everyone think about
what happened to TJ? Real or hallucination
?

Intervention (3)

Everett and the crew continue their efforts to save Destiny while holding off the Lucian Alliance invaders.

Nice wrap up to "Incursion", the two-parter season finale from last year. I enjoyed the hell out it! Didn't even bother me that we are pretty much restored to the status quo . . . with the addition of the Lucian Alliance characters in the brig.

What I like about TJ's situation, is that she also has to decide,
real or hallucination
?

I took the TJ story line as "real" but I have to say, I didn't like the concept.. it was too much
all powerful alien that protected them

Do you think Chloe's leg healing itself was the result of the same thing TJ underwent? Or the result of the alien experimentation that Chloe was part of last season? Or something else I missed entirely?

I think it's the blue aliens' actions. The commercials are showing scenes from future episodes, and judging from that I would say
it's not benevolent healing; the skin on her leg begins to turn metallic
.

As for the reality of TJ's experience, there's an unanswered question:
Where is her daughter's body? Clearly, I think the baby's body is there on Destiny with them, and is not living on the alien-made world. That said, with all the ascended beings in the SG universe, it could still be a valid metaphysical/spiritual experience
.

Yeah, I say
hallucination
too. I kind of figured
it was all a dream to begin with, with the cabins with the glass windows and such to begin with.
I'm not even sure if
those people who stayed behind on the planet even survived to begin with.
Honestly, I didn't really care for that part of the episode, since it dragged on the suspense from the rest of the story, but just
having her wake up at the end and Wray tell her the baby died
probably would have felt weak in its own way. This experience might be important in a later episode as well, SGU is less episodic than the previous two series, and we've seen the writers set things up over the long run in the first season. So the speculation that
she would survive while the baby died
was correct. As for what happened
to the baby, showing a dead fetus
would have been in poor taste anyway.

I like how the whole situtation with the LA was resolved for now.
Kiva and it would seem the more violent and dangerous LA members are dead, so that's good for the crew.
It doesn't answer what will happen with the others, but that wasn't likely to be resolved anyway in this episode.

Didn't even bother me that we are pretty much restored to the status quo . . . with the addition of the Lucian Alliance characters in the brig.

Status quo is the easiest way to keep the biggest amount of the fan base pleased. It resolves a cliffhanger, leaving too much open would frustrate some of the people who wanted a tighter closure after 4 months of no fresh episodes. Watchers don't want to see their favorite characters get killed off. The whole incursion from the LA isn't completely resolved, but achieves enough of a balance of resolution while providing a plot hook for the next episode. I've seen cliffhangers resolved in much weakers ways than this that were very unsatifying, so overall I liked the episode.

I have to say I didn't like it. The whole TJ thing bored me to death. I've never been a big fan of her to begin with.

The resolution, while satisfactory didn't do it for me. I still don't get why the LA is so interested in Destiny.

I did expect Eli to stumble onto the bridge.

Because it's a newly discovered piece of Ancient tech, and Ancient tech forms the backbone of most advanced technology in the Milky Way. Ancient tech built the stargates, and was later appropriated by the Goa'uld, and the LA largely use Goa'uld tech. So the LA are interested in finding new forms of Ancient tech as an advantage over any of their rivals who at this point are likely Earth and the Jaffa nation.
