It;s complete. Now everyone on Destiny has a bitter streak. They've cleaned up some loose ends and set up the big story conflict (mission versus duty), so I feel like they are on the right track.

There is nothing on TV anywhere in the world like a good, old-fashioned Western, and that is what they gave us with this one.

Well, the word is...things are gonna to get 'more darker' than ever before.

I did like the different dramas and the laying out of the pahts to come.

The biggest blowout will be Rush of course And the day that Earth gets attacked, Young will be all over his candy ass in a blink of a eye.

How often do they do the 'pick up right when the last episode leaves off' style of writing/direction? I supposed they had Greer shot just as a plot device (to get him out of the way) but they might have some other ramifications for that, too. James needs to find a new squeeze so that Scott can get conflicted again, especially since Chloe is mostly off limits. Speaking of which, can they now fully take the ship whereever they wish to go if they are willing to ignore possible consequences down the line? Sure, there's still the matter of 'fuel' but it does raise the question of possibly FTLing back to help Earth then resuming the trip/mission (though Earth might not let they resume with this crew intact), which I imagine needs to be discussed/argued on-screen.

The ship refuels off of stars. I don't think fuel is a real issue. :) The real problem is that it took Destiny millions of years to get so far out. No way can they take a casual jaunt back to the Milky Way.

Well, at least they remembered that Simeon should have been under guard. RIP more crew members that keep appearing from off-screen. Who were all those people bustling around in the medical bay again? That's probably my biggest gripe -- the magical crew replacements for all the faceless folks. There were onlly 100 or so people in the first episode. They keep losing people. And yet, there's no sense that they're running low on ANYTHING -- marines, ammunition, material... I'll give them food and water, those can be found. But the rest? The radios can be recharged by Destiny, but it's not like they have a weapons manufacturing station...

Eh, I'm just bitter. We've now got "Magical Girl Chloe", because the writers apparently don't understand why no one likes the character. So let's give her cool abilities! Rather than allow Ginn to stick around -- someone who LEARNED her science -- we've got a character who 'just knows'. It's my biggest pet peeve in any kind of Sci-Fi show and they stuck it on a character I *already* disliked.

Rush continues to prove that he doesn't understand the concept of teamwork: What, exactly, would he have gained by concealing the remote-tracking capability that he just figured out?

Oddly enough, I liked Rush's attack on Simeon. It's not like the character was ACTUALLY going to talk. He was just looking for another reprieve to try again. The stampede was a nice touch -- Rush knew better than to trust his (most likely untrained) aim. :)

I liked this episode, despite my complaints. Now if only we could actually get the sense that the crew is DWINDLING from all these deaths they keep having -- and preferably Chloe gets added to the list -- I'd be really happy with the way they're going.

On the other hand, I liked Team Science's reaction to Chloe. In fact, I could go for an entire show that is Team Science.

I liked that Rush used reason to justify vengeance. That said, I hated the stampede - Rush got all the way around to the other side of the herd, planted the C4, and got back while Simeon was still in the path of the herd? It was a cool scene, but didn't make sense.

So did I. Especially the fact that they FREAKED OUT when she started typing like crazy and didn't respond.

What a shock! She's working on the code that controls where the ship goes... almost like the alien stuff that got put in her head wants to turn the ship around and head back to the blue aliens..

While I agree with you that it (SERIOUSLY) stretched credibility, I had enough suspension of disbelief lying around to give them a pass on this one...

1) Simeon was moving *very* slowly from the gunshot wound.
2) Rush, on the other hand, can run.
3) He deliberately fired at Simeon and let him approach after getting his attention... drawing him back into the path of the stampede.
4) If Simeon had stolen even a simple watch, he would have known that Destiny should be gone by then and probably wasn't expecting company -- there's a countdown clock right in the Gate Room.
