Starting an Eberron Campaign (Full, 1st Level)

I'm going to play a male Shifter (Razorclaw) Barbarian from Droaam. He is on the run because he slew the son of a gnoll chieftan. More to follow when I get it done...

Personality:
He’s an outgoing almost pushy person who is not content to stay in one place or shape for very long. While most changlings try to blend in he refuses.

Physical Description:
Urithar is short and compact. His black hair is unkempt. He has a visible scar running from his left cheek down to his chest that he received from a gnoll.

Personality:
Urithar ('Uri' to his few friends) is relatively quiet except when it comes to combat. Then, he is a ferocious, killing machine who often roars. Around friends (he has only a few), he participates in conversations , but does not initiate them.
 

Gear

For gear you all may get the max gold available to the class and buy anything allowable for the gold... Sharn is a big city and has everything you may need.

Once everyone has their gear and I have the sheets we can get started.

The Atavist PRC from Races of Eberron requires you have unarmed strike or a mindblade, you are Lawful non-evil and have 8 ranks in Concentration. It grants a bunch of abilities that make multiple Kalashtar (especially multiple Kalashtar Atavists) extra effective in combat when working together and mindlinked. Also it provides full damage advancement for monks, or full Mind Blade enhancement bonus increase for Soulknives. If we ever get that high, I think it'd be cool for us to shoot for...anyway, onto other things.

Physical Description:
Padalashmelk, or Adal to his friends, is a tall and striking man.  He keeps his hair short and neatly trimmed, and his eyes seem to bare down on all he looks upon, as if he is judging them of being worthy.  He dresses in simple scholar's robes, the only signs of his warrior nature the occasional rustle of his chain shirt beneath his robes and the dagger he wears on his belt.

Personality:
Adal feels like he already knows his destiny: to live, fight, and die in the great secret war eternally waged between the Kalashtar and the Dreaming Dark.  He knows that he will inevitable follow the path of the Atavist, huntin Quori wherever they are found, and likely die in this pursuit.  His father was a warrior of il-Yannah, and his father's father before him.  Adal is suspicious of most he meets at first, but generally makes up his mind about them quickly and sticks to his impressions.  He is always very observant and occasionally his stare makes those who fall beneath it uneasy.

The other thing if you are interested: The Monk has some Kalashtar substitution levels in Races of Eberron at lvls 1, 2, and 7. Basically they can use their bonus powerpoints to beef-up some monk abilities at the expense of other monk abilities or give them a bonuse psionic feat (at lvl 2). For example, at 1st level they get Psychic Insight instead of flurry of blows. This allows them to get a +1 insight bonus on the next grapple check or stunning fist attack roll he makes for 1 pp as a swift action. At 5th he can spend 2pp for +2, and at 11th he can spend 3pp for +3.
