D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder [OOC]

Feel free to post a character sheet and bio in the rogue gallery.
Okay. Any classes you'd like to see played?

EDIT: I went and made a Half-Elf Paladin. He's an Emerald Enclave Faction Agent (BG from SCAG) so he should be easy to work in from anywhere, whenever you'd like to do it.

(thanks for the equipment swap -- char sheet updated, with revised AC (he's easier to hit!) and short sword. Warhammer and Scalemail abandoned now, though perhaps he'll leave the war hammer with Spud.)

For group decisions, such as lowering the drawbridge, should I create a poll?

I think that would just create a hell of a lot more work for. It's also usually fun to RP the stuff out - though it requires a committed reply from players not; "I'm easy either way" - which I realise I kind of did with Fistan in this instance - even if it's a; "I don't mind either but I would vote A just to give an opinion."

I have, in the game I run here, usually advanced things as soon as there is a majority, even if some people haven't replied, to try and keep things moving, as long as it doesn't leave the last few player out completely.

eg player A posts yes
player B posts no
player C and D post yes
DM advances plot despite player E not yet posting.

Just make sure E is included next time a decision comes up.

That makes sense going forward.

The hardest part with PBP so far has been the balancing act. Giving people a chance to react, but not waiting for total group consensus / undeeded agreement posts.

Exploration too! I'm trying hard to give you things to explore without making the search of one vollage cottage take months.

Yes that is hard, also trying not to drive their exploration by pointing out things they clearly aren't looking for.

It does at least let me play more than once a fortnight - job, wife, kid all get in the way, so I guess needs must.
