Rillix: The winged cat takes off and examines the giant sized windows above you. After some investigation, he finds one that is unlocked and the feline slips through the opening.

The room below Rillix contains floors and walls made of the fancy cloudstuff marble. Lavish red carpets lead to eight different doors and fancy antiques hang on the walls.

What has the cat's attention, however, is the cloud giant in the room. His attire is that of a guard or soldier. His posture, face down on the floor, is that of a dead man.

Fistan, Wizard 5

"There is a dead guard inside." relays Fistan, "That and the lack of response from to our knocking makes me think, they could all be dead or in the temple." Mentally he recalls Rillix and sends him off to the Temple. "Should we follow him or look for a way in here?"

"Look for a way in," says Tranio. He had smelled death, then.

He will go with Aremus, or anyone else, if a way presents itself.

Dren rumbled a bit disquietly when Tranio said they should look for a way in.

“We best make sure there’s nae one gaein’ t’ catch us standin’ over a dead body b’fore we gae traipsin’ anywhere inside, lad,” he suggested ominously. “I dunnae like this one bit.” He glanced over to where the tressym was disappearing into the distance, heading toward the temple.

"Aye, we should check the surroundings for anyone alive before venturing forth. But consider this. There is a conflict within giant groups. What if this was another "traitor" and those vulture riders came to "clean the house" so to speak. If this is the case, towers master may be holding up and any delay may bring his destruction. And our help may bring grateful giant back toward the peace."

Ordrar say. While speaking, he looks at the windows, trees, door frame and other details of their surroundings looking for some way in. If they need to build a ladder or bring rope to the window...or do human pyramid, he'll do it. No more flying.

[roll0]

OOC: How high are the windows. Is the ground next to the door or wall loose earth? i.e. could Mold Earth cantrip create passage under the door for human sized creature? Are there any trees high enough to serve as height enhancers from which we could toss the rope into the building? Anything else useful?

Thanks to the garden, there is actual soil all around the outside of the mansion that could be molded as needed. Digging in or raising the earth are both reasonable plans. The windows are about thirty feet up. There are no trees by them, but the cloudstuff walls appear to chip easier than real marble if the party has axes.

OOC: If we can simply squeeze under the door, climbing would be unnecessary and that would be minimum work. Trying to make the passage at least large enough for a halfling.

[OOC} Before we start actively trying to break in should we wait to see what Rillix reports back? Then, depending on how fast we feel we need to be, Fistan can levitate up to a window with a rope so the others can climb up[/OOC]

OOC: There is some time needed to check the surroundings, plan and agree on the course of action...Rillix may return in the meantime...and I wouldn't spend resources on opening the gate if we don't have to.
