Artificer - should be a new subclass of Wizard, not a stand-alone class.
Barbarian - barely a subclass of Fighter. More like a background + a feat.
Bard - Isn't this just a cleric with the Skilled feat?
Cleric - the standard by which all support PCs are judged. It's a pity that 5E replaced them with a nap.
Druid - perfectly fine as a subclass of cleric, or elemental wizard.
Fighter - love it or hate it, it's still the standard by which all combat-focused PCs are judged
Monk - a fighter subclass, or a fighter/rogue mashup. Either way: unnecessary.
Paladin - another fighter subclass, or a fighter/cleric mashup. Equally unnecessary.
Ranger - also just a subclass of Fighter with the Outlander background and maybe a feat. Maybe.
Rogue - the standard by which all skill-oriented PCs are judged.
Sorcerer - this is just a wizard with variant spellcasting rules. No need for a full, new class.
Warlock - Also a wizard with variant spellcasting rules. Also unnecessary (even if it's my favorite.)
Wizard - the standard by which all magic-focused PCs are judged.
Man. This list is kinda depressing. The more I look at it, the more I understand the Skyrim character creation menu. And I hate the Skyrim character creation menu.
It makes me want to downvote the Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard, just so I can force everyone to consider other, weaker options. I want to angrily point a shaky index finger at the computer screen and shout "LOOK AT THEM, YOU FOOLS! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE BUT YOU NEVER GIVE THEM THE TIME OF THE DAY!!!" But I hate lying, especially to myself.
