[SWd20] D&D => Star Wars: The Burning Plague

Actually, I'm running the Sunless Citadel as the opening adventure for my Old Republic era game. I've converted the entire adventure (including critters and NPCs) and placed it on a (randomly generated) planet named Yabrindal. I'm happy to share my notes with anyone who wants them.

On a side-note, I'm using a 1 sp=1 cr/1 gp = 10cr converstion, but I don't know if this is right.
Also, I've 'broken' a few SWRPG rules by creating undead and construct opponents (long-dead Sith) and an animated object, as well as a few force-using puzzles that involve telepathically broadcasting to an object. It's likely to get changed around a bit as I run it. The PCs are still in Yateeri, Oakdale's replacement, so I can't really speculate on how well it's going.

I will be starting my campaign this coming Saturday. :)

Just as an intro adventure, I will be running my converted version of the Burning Plague. I tinkered with it a little, having decided not to put it on Tatooine as I had originally intended.

Here is the link to what will be my campaign journal for this game:

Not that I'm trying to tell you how to run your games or anything, but I noticed that, on that log, one of the characters is a Jedi Guardian 1/ Jedi Consular 1. IIRC, the RCR says you're not supposed to multiclass between the two. Just thought I'd point that out, in case you didn't know that. You're free to house rule that any way you like. Good luck with your game! I'm starting one soon myself.

You know I thought that seemed a litle fishy ...

I had 4 people to make up characters in a short period of time with only one core book, and I did spend a while looking to see if it was ok to multiclass between the two Jedi types. I never found it. I guess I overlooked it somehwere.

Thanks for the head up ... I will work with the player to fix the character before we get started. :)

Yep, just picked up my RCR to confirm it, and purely by accident opened right up to the page.

Star Wars Roleplaying Game Revised Core Rulebook said:
To add a Force-using class (Force adept, Jedi consular, or Jedi guardian), a character must purchase the Force-Sensitive feat, rather than acquiring it for free as a starting feat (only new 1st-level Force-using characters gain the Force-Sensitive feat as a free starting feat). A character with one Jedi class may not add another Jedi class in a multiclass process. (Thus, a character who has at least one level of Jedi guardian can never add a level of Jedi consular.) A Force adept can add levels of one or the other Jedi class, if the character desires, and a Jedi who abandons the order could progress as a Force adept.

Many thanks ... much appreciated. :)

I *thought* I had read that somewhere, which is why I went looking for it in the first place.

I guess I am still a little to deep into "D&D mode" where just about anything can multiclass with just about anything else. lol

You're completely welcome. Thanks to people misreading rules I've started banning "munchkins" from my table. It's a sad existence, when all the joy you get out of a roleplaying game is tweaking the rules to your advantage ;)

In his defense, this wasn't a case of munchkinism. He and I both simply didn't know the rules in this case.

It's all good. He is easy to get along with so it won't be a problem to re-work his character.

I know that wasn't munchkinism. It's just that, from my experience, munchkins tend to take advantage of things like that. Plus, they make roleplaying a thousand times harder for those of us who enjoy the story more than the stats.
