SX:3 From the Bowels of Philadelphia (Hero For Hire Judging)

OOC: Just waiting for A-phib. After Sunday I'll be headed to Milwaukee for a week for work. Not sure about internet access there. Very soon we'll be entering another segment of the adventure. At that point we'll bring on two different players in place of MP and Malthusian. June 25th -July 15th I'll be working in northern Wisconsin. I might not have any net access then. I'd like to push this as much as possible between now and then. I also occasionally get roped into firefighting out west so there might be another little stumbling block. In short if the three players involved with the game can keep posting everyday, I'll also try to keep that pace over the next few months when I have Internet access.

Aquaphibian contines his grapple with Gremlin attempting to subdue him

A-phib Round #4 grapple on Gremlin (1d20+20=30)

OOC: Gremlin is already grappled, so it must beat this grapple check or take a "hit", damage save is DC25.

Gremlin once again seems oblivious to Aquaphibian's hold, although the grip is causing him obvious pain. Gremlin's eyes begin to glow and he hits the tentacled Cthulhuesque being with an energy blast. Once again the creature grows larger. Twilight Gryphon attacks the creature causing it to shriek, but can't get a grip on the slimy tentacle. Intrepid seems to dissolve into the floor before her eyes. Wild mask leaps forward, uselessly beating on the body of the primitive creature. In what seems to be slow motion Twilight Gryphon watches a tentacle lash out and hit the barbarian in the back of the head. Wild mask goes down with a wet meaty thud.

OOC: The lab experiment gone bad is now 20 feet tall. Raylis- Since TG doesn't have Super strength she wasn't able to move the creature before it increased in size again. Gremlin seems to be weakening. Wild Mask is staggered and stunned.

Seeing Wild Mask fall, Twilight Gryphon flies down and pulls him to the back of the lab and hopefully away from the "creature."

Aquaphibian, still grappling Gremlin, tries to lift him from the ground and hurl him against the wall at the far side of the room.

Round #5, Grapple check, Aphib attempts to throw Gremlin against the far wall. (1d20+20=31)

OOC: If Aphib beats Gremlin's grapple check then he can hurl him a distance based on the formula from page 36 of the book. If Gremlin weights 200 lbs then this distance is 100ft!

Aquaphibian attempts to get leverage on the dwarf and toss him into the wall. In a moment of overconfidence he loses his advantage, and the red haired combatant slips from his grasp. The dwarf's eyes glow and focus on the former oceanographer. A concussive force hits the scaly hero like a jackhammer. Twilight Gryphon glides in, scoops up Wild Mask, and takes him to safety. Ghost hits the creature again with a telekinetic blast, but it seems to have no effect this time. Intrepid appears from the floor behind Gremlin. Brandon Cooper's brow furrows as he concentrates and delivers a will crushing mental blast to Gremlin. The dwarf seems on the verge of collapse. Aquaphibian readies himself to finish off the pint size hero when he sees Intrepid's eyes go wide. Suddenly, he is hit from behind by a lashing tentacle.

OOC: Sorry for the delay. Went to a Brewers game last night and I was in no condition to post afterwards. I did have a good time though. Aquaphibian is Bruised X 2. This weekend won't be that great so lets get at least one more round by tomorrow night. I'll be out of town helping my folks with some stuff and won't have access until Monday.
