SX:3 From the Bowels of Philadelphia (Hero For Hire Judging)

"This is not boding well." Twilight Gryphon says as flies straight at the tenticle monster "I think I prefered the robots! she says as she beats her wings and tries to reach max flight speed.
[sblock=actions]
OOC: Going to attempt to Rush the tentical beast, bonus is +6 (3 from strength, 3 from 3 ranks of flight)
Rush (1d20+6=12)
... and spending a hero point to reroll that
Rush (hero point reroll) (1d20+6=13)
which makes the reroll a 17+6=23
Still have 1 bruise
2 Hero Points left

If the fake gremlin is up by ghost go, thats the target, else the tentacle blob.

Oh, and Ghost is still staying beneath floor level.

Despite taking two nasty blows A-phib keeps his feet and is already regenerating these recent wounds. He decides it is better to eliminate Gremlin from the battle before turning on the monster, so he attempts to land a mighty blow on Gremlin.

Round 6, A-phib punches Gremlin (1d20+10=30)

OOC: That is another crit, the damage save is DC30. Also, A-phib is regenerating, he gets a recovery save every round (DC10) against Bruised, Unconscious, Injured or Staggered.

Round 6, A-phib CON check to recover from a Bruise, DC 10 (1d20+7=23)

OOC: A-phib recovers from one of the Bruises, leaving him with one. Question for Salix: you rolled A-phib's damage saves for both attacks, correct? You also must have failed by less than five on each because you did not say that he is stunned, correct?

OOC: yep. Less than five on both. I wanted to expedite the next few rounds, but usually I'll ask you guys to make your own rolls. It's usually better that way, since the player feels more in control. Of course, when I had dial-up IC was a pain for me to use. Look for an update tomorrow evening. I have to check a rule or two before replying. Wish I would have put my PDf of the main book on my flash drive.

Twilight Gryphon tries to move the huge beast aside, but is no match for its sheer size and bulk.
Intrepid, Ghost, and Aquaphibian target the bewildered Gremlin with a flurry of blows. He slumps to the ground, the light energy begins to stream from his eyes with building intensity. Soon, the heroes have to shield their eyes from the intensity. A wave of nausea sweeps over them. The tentacled beast seems to be feeding off the energy and grows at a rapid pace. It appears to coil, and then smashes through the wall into the main corridor that leads to the river. It appears to be headed for the shoot that the heroes entered the complex through. Suddenly, Gremlin's body explodes, sending a blast of radiation over the heroes.

OOC: Found my book. I wasn't familiar with Rush. Fortitude saves all around, including Ghost (affects insubstantial).
