Tales of an Eternal Kingdom D&D 3.5 *Recruiting*

If Sudden Strike is just like sneak atttack then I would go human not only for no multiclass penalty but the extra feat could give you Combat Expertise/Improved Feint and an extra skill point you cant go wrong you need Balance Tumble Jump Bluff Move Silently Hide and maybe Climb Sleight of Hand (to hide weapons) and still leaves the basics Spot Listen Search

sorry been trying different things with Jasperian been at it for hours but think I have it taking all knowledges because he will be a mean know it all ba-----

Hmmm. We seem to be light on healing...

Going Dark Cleric or Cleric/Mage -> True Necromancer seems like an idea but:

A) Religeon seems to be frowned upon here and
B) On second thought a kingdom of the undead may actually not be hip to a character who specializes in controlling them...

Plus... Meh.

I'm more inclined towards a Warblade, I haven't actually played one yet. Just picking out a race... Anybody remember which the heck book the half-daelkyr were in?

Sudden strike is like a castrated version of Sneak Attack. Sneak Attack works when flanking. Sudden Strike does not function during flanks... which was one of my concerns. Ninja has some cool flavor, but was worried about how functional it would be. Honestly, I might be better off mechanically with a rogue/monk, but I like the flavor of the ninja's Ki abilities, so I think I'll try to make it work. So yeah, the feint will probably be useful, since if I'm in melee, well. I need to deny dexterity to AC.

You could go straight Ninja and use Improved Unarmed Strike and Superior Unarmed Strike (Tome of Battle pg 33) to boost your unarmed damage. Or see if Kagehiro will let you dump your weapon proficiencies for a monks unarmed damage.

Heck I'd just go with straight Swordsage and specialize in the Shadowhand School.... but I see you do not have ToB. Nevermind. ^^;

Well, I wouldn't wanna dump ALL my proficiencies. I'd at least want a few ranged options.

As for ToB. People keep telling me the concepts I try to build work best with ToB. I'm half tempted to start up a "Alms for Theroc because he's poor and wants the ToB fund" on Enworld! ;)

What does Superior Unarmed Strike do?

try to adhere closely to the class as for it's rules. just get creative. also everyone needs to be ecl 1.

templates are for later game, and will all be inherited.

Here is another good link with lots of info.

As for Superior unarmed strike... << ... >>
[sblock]SUPERIOR UNARMED STRIKE
Your unarmed strikes have become increasingly deadly, enabling you to strike your foes in their most vulnerable areas.

Prerequisite: Improved Unarmed Strike, base attack bonus +3.
Benefit: You deal more damage with your unarmed strikes, as shown on the table below.
Character Level/Unarmed Damage
3rd / 1d4
4th–7th / 1d6
8th–11th / 1d8
12th–15th / 1d10
16th–20th / 2d6
Special: If you are a monk, you instead deal unarmed
damage as a monk four levels higher.[/sblock]

Ok, here's a character proposal:

Torbold d'Denieth is a bitter young man. Growing up he yearned to manifest his house dragonmark and become a full heir of his house. He was horrified when instead he sprouted an aberrant dragonmark. He fled his home and spent the last couple of years of the war training and fighting with the mercenaries of Darguun, even going so far as to study the ancient fighting traditions of the hobgoblins. He was on his way home after the armistice was signed, hoping to hide his twisted mark and prove his worth in his mercenary house with his sword arm alone when he awoke in the woods...
