D&D 5E Tall's PotA Campaign - IC

Duran heads to the top of the stairs using is girth to block the door way just in case.

OOC: Duran will pretty much fade into the background, until his bear form runs out.

Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Evening

Duran blocks the door at the top of the stairs. It seems impossible, but no one seems to have noticed the fight. Apart from weapons, armour and clothes, Illvilious only finds a set of keys on Jurth and a small figurine of a one eyed orc. In the guard room, Errol finds bedding; a set of playing cards and about 200cp in three seperate piles on a table. The orogs seemed to have been in the middle of a game.

The southern door now stands open, most likely where Grorag came in, and leads to a corridor running east west and is completely unlit.

Ok, since that corridor is unlit, implying less traffic, let's put the bodies in the ogre's room, instead of the orog's room. Maybe we can quickly make it initially seem like they killed each other, maybe lock them in the room and kick the key under the gap in the door so it's in the room with them!

OOC:
This is assuming that one of the keys fits the door to the ogre's room!

GM: Sorry if my description was misleading, all three orogs and the ogre share the guard room. The southern door leads directly to the corridor, the ogre just happened to be there at the time. The guard room seems to form a junction between the the stairs leading to the monastary, the corridor leading to the tomb and the corridor to the south - wherever that goes.

One of the keys on Jurth's key ring opens all three doors to the guard room and there are three more keys.

"Ah yes, Grummush, lovely orc god that one is for sure. I remember glancing through some papers on him during my time with the Purple Dragons. Nothing of important note, but if you find yourself fighting a one-eyed orc be extremely careful... he's either gained some powers from the gods, or just lost a fight... I guess you couldn't really tell the difference now that I think about it." J.V. says trailing off.

Day 7/Night
Round 0

There was little of interest for Errol to find back in the guard room. He scooped up the two hundred copper and rejoined the others.

“We should dispose of the bodies,” Errol said. “Perhaps drag them into the guard room, make it look like they’re sleeping. Then check out the tomb, or continue south?”

OOC: Unless there’s a drop off the stairs we can dump them in? I guess I wasn’t sure if we were fighting on the edge or not.

"Should we carry on in the direction they were taking us, towards the boss?"

OOC:
I think Ilvellios will probably leave the statue behind, does someone else particularly want to take it? :-)
