OOC: Just in case it influences anyone's decision. I treat NPC and monsters with the same rules as the PC's get. So the orcs that were down in the combat get death saves and can spend HD during a short rest. I just normally don't worry about it (as it makes for tedious game play) unless you don't "finish" the encounter, like in this case.

OOC: Errol isn't going to want to leave the villagers there, so he votes regroup, heal, and revenge.

"We're not leaving those women to be ravaged by orcs!" Nariah definitely votes for regroup, heal, revenge.

OOC: Looks like I'm outvoted, but that's fine; I only voted that way because I don't think this quest advances the main plot. Let's go rescue some villagers! Once we've healed and regrouped:-D

Back at the orc sentry post there is a camp already set up, if you don't mind the smell.

OOC: Do you take a long or short rest?

OOC: So I'm on 17/39 hp, with 2 Hit Dice left. I don't mind if it's a long or short rest, but I suspect most people will want a long rest?
