Day 4 Evening

You pass The Bargewrite Inn and continue to Womford. The walk takes about an hour and you pass some small farms that occupy the space between the two small towns.

Entering Womford itself you pass numerous abattoirs, silo’s and workshops with a scattering of taverns and inns. Most are simple functional affairs, offering little more than a roof and a bar, and none offer anything in the way of luxury. You pick the cleanest looking one with the fewest drunks in to spend the night.

Being advised that the boats set out early you head to the docks near first light. A few boats are undergoing a refit and many are hives of activity loading goods. One boat catches your eye as there is little going on around it and it appears ready to go. Few dock workers pass it though without leaving something on deck.

Day 5/Morning
Round 0

As they ate breakfast before sunrise, Errol encouraged his sleepy companions for the day ahead. After finishing breakfast, they headed down to the docks. Noting the ready boat and the strange activity of those passing it, Errol paused to observe for a moment.

J.V. looked around the docks at the hustle and bustle and had to pause and admire everyone's diligence. At Duran's mention of a particularly quite boat being our ride J.V straightens his britches and makes his way to the vessel. "Hello! We're looking for passage, permission to come aboard?"

Day 5 Early Morning

Watching the ready boat Erol can see six crew, most are not doing anything, but one of them, a human, seems to be inspecting each piece of new cargo and another, a Halfling, is on the dock watching everything.

It is the Halfling that JV approaches, "Hello! We're looking for passage, permission to come aboard?" He looks you up and down, then asks "Up river or down? When JV replies the Halfling shouts to someone one deck, "Hey Boss, we going up river?" A curt nod from a genesai suggest that they are and the Halfling finishes "Five gold per person. We don't provide food nor drink. No singing while aboard and any vomitin' will be extra."

GM: I'll give it a little more time for people to role play onto the boat, but in the mean time where are you going?

Heading up river will take you past Riverguard Keep, which you know is built right on the river. The secret entrance you know about is a little up river. There is a rock formation known by locals as salmon rock. Following the small valley west will take you to a stream that disappears under ground. A short, underwater swim will take you to a low cavern that the stream follows for about a mile before joining a bigger underground stream. Following this bigger stream will take you to a hidden boat landing that leads into Riverguard keep's tower.

If you go past that there are a number of valleys heading west away from the river, the Sacred Stone monastery is located in one of these valleys, but you do not believe it to be visible from the river.

GM: It is, you can stop at the keep, go past it to salmon rock to use the secret entrance that you know of or, finally, go past that to look for the earth cult.
