GM: Cleaver thinking about the dancing bear (deception roll) or something else. And yes bear's have a climbing speed, I really should look up rules rather than pulling things out my arse.

OOC: Its ok I pull things out my ass all the time... GM is God as they say. Who would be making the roll me or the blagger? That's if the guys are coop covering for me, just be aware I got like 1 spell slot left.

Dessarin/Riverguard Keep
Day 5/Midday
Round 0

“Up is better than down,” Errol had to agree. “So Shoalar managed to get back. That could be a complication. But if he’s in his cups… Try and look like you belong. It doesn’t seem they have too much in the way of identifying members, but be alert.”

Casually slinging his bow over his shoulder, Errol strode along the balcony toward the ladder up through the trapdoor. As he moved, he tried to get a look at whoever the leader was that seemed to be grabbing everyone’s attention, if he could get an angle on the person from up here without looking too conspicuous. Then he headed up the ladder.

Relying on Nariah to do any talking that may be necessary to explain the bear, Ilvellios joined Errol at the front of the group, taking the lead up the ladder when he paused to look over the balcony.

Ilvellios didn't want to hang around, exposed on the mezzanine, for any longer than he had to..

Look like you belong, the bear grinned, it looked just as unnatural as it sounds.
Duran followed closely by the groups side with his head bowed low as if he was a broken animal.

Riverguard Keep,
Early Evening, Day 5

Errol led the way to the ladder, trying to see who people were looking and talking to proved difficult. He would have to walk along one of the side balconies, which would mean doubling back to the ladder after having a look.

The rest of the party followed, but as Duran stepped onto the balcony a voice from below called out, "Hey... Whatshh ya doing wi' that bear?

GM: secret roll: 1D20 = [17] = 17
Not that secret, its their perception so no sneaking for you.

The drunk jumps at Nariah's words, looks nervously to someone below the balcony and then turns to his friends with his finger to his lips, "SHHHH!". It doesn't change much as the half dozen drinkers continue their revelry.

The trapdoor opens to the evening sky. The rooftop serves as a last stand, with a crenelated wall all the way round. A five foot wide walkway affords place to fight and a low pitched roof fills the center of the roof and has clearly been repaired recently. A bored sentry sits on the apex of the roof, offering all the observational power of a tree. There is another trapdoor that leads down, into the room opposite the library where Urshnora was.

From up here you can see the entire fort, much of it is in disrepair and there is evidence that work is being done to fill in holes in the wall and patch roofs. You can see a fire burning in the courtyard (K4) with half a dozen bandits playing dice. There is a sentry on each wall, though none seem particularly alert.

GM: I'll give advantage on the deception rolladvantage: 1D20 = [7] = 7

K12 isn't there, as you've stashed Shoalar's boat farther up stream.
K16 is the Great Hall.
K19 is the library where you met Urshnora
K21 is the Lord's chamber that the secret entrance led you to.
K22 is the landing that you arrived through the secret entrance from.

You may notice some of the description doesn't quite tie up with the map, I've made a couple of tweaks so where the two don't quite tie up, go with the written description.

“Not much up here,” Errol noted. “Should we go across to that tower?” he asked, indicating K14.
