As written that 1d4 bonus attack is as good as the but strike of polearm master which easily surpasses the non fighting style enhanced twf. It can also stack with duelist fighting style. If you do such a feat at least remove +1 str or dex.

I think the tweak that I like on this is

* when struck with an improvised weapon or unarmed strike you may use your reaction to grapple, unarmed strike or attack with an improvised weapon.

None of the others suggestions appeal to my table feel, but I am quite interested in a Feat that borrows/leans on martial arts.

I like the bonus action to make an unarmed or improvised attack or grapple. You could almost even make it a free action because you can already make an attack with your off hand using a bonus action, you just don't get to add your str mod to the damage of that attack. Either way, allowing a bonus action attack would still add 3-5 damage for said attack.

I do not like the dex bit or the monk bit.

I took this feat with my unarmed Goliath Barbarian brawler and I would really enjoying getting an extra improvised attack. It fits in with the flavor of my build. My DM lets me grapple first and then attack though which is cool.

Your unarmed strike is not a light weapon, so it doesn't automatically work with TWH. It also doesn't use up a hand like TWF does.

Not nearly. PaM feat bonus attack gets bonuses from great weapon style and great weapon master feat. This bonus attack get bonuses from nothing. Also PaM gets magic enchancements to both ends of a weapon. And it is 10ft range.

That is another feat. I first only compare single feats against each other and against other options. So by otself the feat is a too strong choice ocer two weapon fighting.
