I guess he is working on another one that will have 35,000 mirrors. There are others have have tried this, but none that has such a focused and hot point.

He can point it all he likes - your standard satellite parabolic dish has a focus point a couple of feet out from the dish which cannot be varied. So, unless he beats me unconscious and straps me into a chair and then rolls up his "death ray" to put me at the focal point, I'm reasonably safe.
