D&D 4E Tell us what you like and don't like about 4e

That was a good idea. It should keep most folks busy until the Epic Level Handbook (levels 5+) comes out a year later. It was a sound design decision since most focus groups indicated that most DMs start their campaigns over at 6th level anyway.

Bringing up the Epic level books, reminds of the new rules about the Core books. Since Wizards knows that the Core three books sold the best out of all the 3e book, all the books are now Croe and essential to the game.

That was pure marketing genius!

People who don't want all the core books can just wait a year or two for Complete Core to be released, which will include the best of the core rules, all updated to be balanced with the other core rules. And best of all, it's all core!

I here it's only going to $250, but it can be yours for the low price of 25 a month for a year....

I thought this passage in the introduction was a little extreme:

The Dungeon Master really is no longer needed. To the extent that you still want to have a Dungeon Master, all he really needs to do is pay for the pizza and go get drinks.

On the other hand, I'm glad they went back to just fighting-men, clerics, and magic-users. All those other options made me dizzy.

You obviously didn't read the latest bit of errata. On pag 34987 of the errat list B it clearly says that Bards are best when used in groups that role play and can appriciate the subtle abilities. And then it goes on to give them 12th level spells at level 3 for those people that can't use Bards properly

But the Sage said that only 5th level bards can use 12th level spells and only then if they have 283 ranks in Perform(monkey dance). But Perform(monkey dance) isn't a class skill for Bards unless they take the Booty Shaker PrC, which they can't do until 2nd level. I'm gonna have to go with the Sage on this one.

The Sage forgot the Cosmopoliton feat, that grants Bards a class skill so they can take Perform Monkey Dance as a class skill at first level.
