Both characters are dressed in a fairly unrealistic fashion which shows more skin than is wise
. . . but I wouldn't call that painting anything other than extremely tame.

The guys fugly and uninteresting, the chicks wearing that dumb armour with holes in it, I mean a chain mail bikini actually makes more sense than that (in the sense that holed amour actually hinders you by slowing you down with little to no benefit), and shes standing in that position crappy comic book artists put chicks in so you can see their T & their A in the same picture and pretend it's "simulating movement". (The fact that you can't actually see her "bits" just makes the picture that much lamer)
There's nothing wrong with "appropriate cheesecake", put poorly drawn women showing skin in situations where it directly harms them, both insults my intelligence and implies that the women are only there for guys to look at, as opposed to being full fledged characters in their own right. Who also happen to be very nice to look at.
There's actually a lot of 4e cover art I don't like that much, but the PHB is one of the worst.
Yeah, same here. Saves me the bother.Dausuul said:This sums up my opinion better than I could ever have done.
Like, I dunno, the green dragon cover WAR already did for WotC?Incenjucar said:They really need to consider a more... "high fantasy" cover.
Something outdoors and awesome and classy, rather than going directly for GRAR WE SMASH.
As for the cheesecake, a little is fine. People like the idea of being attractive, generally. Just needs to be more setting appropriate... cleavage shots are for taverns and travel, not dungeon delves.
So we're moving the debate away from the realm of observable properties, and towards authorial intent... which is impossible to verify, even if you have the author available for intensive questioning. I recommend against such a move, since it renders the whole debate moot.John Q. Mayhem said:designed to titillate
