I've noticed the 4e polls showing roughly a quarter to half the responders don't like it.
This poll says a fifth. And remember the internet is for expressing two emotions only - rage and hatred.

I like it! The whole write-up screams Rogue, and it should.

But...

I'm not fond of how the limitations enforce the Rogue concept. I mean, I can see why some of the Rogue maneuvers would require a "light blade", but all of them? Would that mean you'd have to carry a back-up dagger if you're multi-class Rogue/Fighter just to be able to use the stuff your Rogue levels give you?

It's of course possible there's feats or other elements that allow you to alleviate these limitations, but the restrictions on class abilities I see in this article are quite a pain in matters of multi-classing synergy.

Did you ever ask why you can use Bluff unlimited times in 3E to feint an opponent? If so, use the inverse of that answer here.

Good response.

I still think/hope that "Tumble" is just your extra-special Tumble, especially if you only have a certain number of "ability" picks.

Do you only have a certain number of "ability" picks?

If so, you can take "Tumble" to be the REALLY mobile rogue.

I'm still wondering what the question marks are. Some mechanic that hasn't been announced?

Who says Tumble is usable only once per encounter? It's an Encounter ability, but maybe it's 4/encounter (Written as Encounter 4) or maybe it's (Dex mod)/Encounter (or, Encounter Dex). Maybe Encounter Level or Encounter Level/2.

Maybe the limitation is because Tumbling all encounter long is exhausting.

I'm stuck in the middle. I don't exactly like it, but I don't hate it either. I'm okay with it.

I do like the changes to Sneak Attack. Everything I've seen thus far about the skills suggests that I'm really not going to like what they've done to the skill system. The HP system I like. The Tumble ability I don't like. I'm pretty much fifty-fifty on the class so far, and ultimately the class info does not improve my feelings about 4e.

I don't like sneak attack being limited to once/round, and I really don't like it being limited to light blades, crossbows, and slings.
I kinda like it...the 3.x rogue was a bit too front-loaded for my tastes.

How is "play whatever edition/game/system that floats your boat" confusing?

…Oh, I see what you're trying to do…
No, you really don't see that. You very clearly have no idea whatsoever either what I am doing, or what I am trying to do. You've made that quite obvious, more than once now.

Repeating the error isn't going to correct it, and not respecting the rules of the forum isn't going to help you or anyone else.
