I don't think it is that surprising we got a higher older population. Since we have the poll about, when you started playing D&D and the largest group was 25+. So unless we got time-travelling youngsters everywhere makes sense that in their groups the average gamer in their eyes is older.

I mean I remember hearing D&D was popular with college students in the past.
I started gaming (and probabaly gamed the most) when I was around 15, and most people I gamed with (home group, hobby store group, and conventions) were close to my age group.
I didn't game as much in college. (like Betote I was busy partying and trying to get laid... oh yeah and studying too.) I don't even know if there WAS a gaming group in my college...
Now from this poll it looks like an even OLDER crowd then college age is the average gamer?
So does the trend go:
College Age, then younger, then out of college age?
I haven't been to any cons or hobby store games lately, so I can't comment on personal experience there...
If that's a true trend what's that saying?
