D&D (2024) The bladelock two-weapon fighter: fundamentally unsound?

You can't have it all. You want a scouting familiar? Take something small and stealthy that can turn invisible. Want something Medium sized with hands that can use adventurer scaled gear and items? Something big enough and strong enough that it can give a Small sized Warlock a piggyback ride around, while having flight from Chain Master? You're not getting any of that from an Imp.

Skeletons aren't strictly better than the other options, but they have unique strengths that none of the others offer.

I don't agree with this. The skeleton is really hurt by its low hit points (relative to the Imp and Quasit) and its inability to go invisible. It's ranged attack is also not very powerful.

I think in the 2024 rules the Quasit is the best because its attack causes poisoned with no save and its scare ability is the most powerful offensive ability of any of the familiars (when combined with Warlock DC from IOCM).

The Imp is also powerful due to high damage, and Pseudo Dragon due to its poison sting and the ability to turn enemies unconscious.

Finally the Sphinx of Wonder is not very powerful offensively, but its burst of wonder is pretty good to have defensively.

As a combat familiar, I would put any of these ahead of the Skeleton in tier 2+
