The City of Requiem: Recruitment for my 3.0->3.5 Game

The Current Party:
Druid of Denev (Thrarn Iranorn)
Blind Forsaken Elf Psion (Gnomeworks)
Half-Orc Monk (Zerth)
Half-Ogre (NarlethDrider)

This group is alright, but I'm still looking for one or two more traditional characters to join in.

I can use the half-ogre from Savage Species or the one you have---it doesnt matter to me, I'm just happy to finally get a chance to play one of my favorite races:D

Savage Species is fine then. That version (if I recall) seems about right.

I have set up the proper thread for placing finished characters in the Rogues Gallery here.

I've posted my character in the Rogue's Gallery thread. There's no background yet, I'm waiting for extra information from the DM and other players.

I'm thinking, that my monk wasn't originally from the island. He was aboard a ship that wrecked near the island. He survived and has lived there ever since. That would explain his monk training even if there aren't any monasteries on the island.

I'd like to join, if you'll have me. I am new to posting on the boards but not new to the game, any version of it. :)

Give me an idea of what you would like to fill in the group, looks like you are lacking a few key pieces, so I will leave it up to you to let me know where you want to go with the group.

I can post quite regularly.

Zerth - Well, there is relatively little (if any) ship going traffic between the continent of Ghelspad and the Island itself. It's also unlikely that you would drift from the main trade roots of the Hegonomy into the islands fishing routes, however, it is quite possible that you could be trained by a local master of some kind.

I'm not ruling out the possibility of getting lost at sea, but it just seems more likely that a personal mentor as an NPC adds that extra hook to the background, and makes more sense. If you'd prefer to have come from the mainland, that is fine, but so is the possibility of a private sensei.

Breezly - Well, I'll be playing an NPC Cleric or Wizard with the group (whichever is more needed), and the group still needs a Rogue, Bard, or Ranger. Whatever you think is proper for yourself, I'll pick one of the other holes to fill. Be a wizard or cleric or fighter if you like as well. I'm not trying to streamline the party, but I do want to be able to handle all types of challenges.

Well, how about a Halfling Ranger/Rouge, though mostly Rogue. It seems it would fit the scout role quite nicely.

I will create a character and post it to the character thread.

I would like to join too if you still have room. I would like to play a bard. I havent read any of the Scarred Lands stuff, Ill try to grab some of the books off friends. I am a bit of a pbp newbie, I am in one game and dming another. Race wise, I would like to look and see if a halfling would fit as you stated that the island is mostly populated by them.

Alright, I guess that finishes up the group. I'm still open to other players, but I'll decline them if I have a problem.

Everyone has about a week now to do the character information and statistics. Backgrounds will be due a week after that. We will start with some background and story discussion in a couple days. I'd like to use the chat room for some of this, but we will have a thread as well.
