The Crux of the Matter

"The Mage Queen's daughter ran off with a 'folk after he helped Medibaria repel an ambush of the Drow and a plot to kill off the 'folk. I'd not be suprised if the flute is from that, and the blade is one of his," Vanitri says, trying to impress love with his detailed knowledge of history.

"It was part of my trial at the order, and why I've been told my name is Vanitri Vallyrue. By Elayna in fact."

"If the Crux can't be moved, I hope detsorying it won't send that tower too quickly into oblivion. I would like to have time to get out of here, but at teh same time, I expect that once we will have destoyed the Crux, nothing will prevent Sin or her minion to come to us. We risk to have difficulty to get out of here. I suggest we don't waste time and if we met opposition, the priority will be to head toward the door and not get rid for good of them." suggests Rinaldo

"My hero! That sounds a wise and valiant plan. You are quite brave, Rinaldo," Love compliments him with a smile, "Once you Dispel that, I won't be able to go into the area around the Crux, so I'll just go back to my hiding spot and wait for the end. You can do it!"

Ashna floats, naturally.

I don't like that, I don't like that at all. Guile made it sound as if the Crux were portable, and suddenly it isn't? She floats towards Tenebrynn "Hey, Tenny, got a second or so?" she asks with a smile.

(Does Ashna feel that she has any reason to believe Love over what Guile and company said?)

(OOC: There shouldn't be a contradiction there--if so, it was a mistake. I don't remember where Guile et al implied that the Crux could be moved (do you have a reference?). I thought they didn't but Rinaldo kept saying he was going to take it anyway)

"Killing Sin? I doubt you could, but that would be a fun bonus. No, you want the Temporal Crux. Take that out and...well, I'm not sure what will happen, but Sin and Eve will lose...Fuge will be avenged..."

In post 899... I might took Guile's word too literal... Take that out can be understood as taking the Crux out of the tower.[/SBLOCK]

(I believe there might have been another reference as well, but that was the one I found when preparing the post as well. A different error slipped through, but that one's gone.
Of course there's still the issue whether Love is a wraith or not. ;))

(OOC: Ohhhhh! Sorry :o That's an English expression. "Take it out" or "Take him out" means to destroy or neutralise it/him, as in the sentence "We'll have to find some way to take out the sentries or we'll never be able to get into the castle without raising the alarm.")

(I knew that, but figured that a) it's more commonly applied to people and b) Guile and Co would have corrected us once we definitely discussed taking the Crux out of the tower, which I believe we did. I'll have to look again about that.)
