"By Gundar... there must be a way to destroy that thing, but which one? If Sin si so hardly trying to kill us, it must be because she think we have a way to do it, and she is the best placed to know such thing. but I fear she will never tell it." replies Rinaldo

"I think you're right. She must have outsmarted us and developed a way to destroy it, and now she's guilty of overestimating our ability to do the same, or she just doesn't want to risk the chance that we do it by mistake. Hmm--oh dear!"

*A new one of the beads seems to have picked up momentum, despite Rayne's attempts to stop them.*

"I'll buy us some time with a Wall of Force. Let's use it to think."

*Rayne summons an invisible wall of force to block the way.*

(OOC:  Ironically, due to a completely random and unrelated circumstance that would actually be quite amusing, it ironically might have been better if Rinaldo and one of the other PCs had swapped on who decided to approach the Crux. Ah well ;))

"How many more of these spell do you guess she has prepared? I doubt she can throw them at will for all the eternity. She is not a god, just a powerfull wizard." asks Rinaldo

OOC: When Rinaldo have touch the spark in the library, did he saw the ones Vanitri saw teh first time we have gone in teh library... I'm just wondering if I wouldn't find something in all those meory to help em on that one, cause I feel pretty screw up presently.

"I don't know," Rayne admits, "But it is possible that she has the spell stored in a powerful Nexus, in which case she can convert all her most powerful spells into it if necessary...Hmm, the distortions that prevent Teleporting into this place from outside must also prevent summoning and gating magic from working. That seems the only logical reason that she hasn't been conjuring things at all."

(OOC: Yup, Rinaldo saw them all. Don't worry, though--even the people absorbed by the Crux have a possibility of doing something, so you don't have to feel that the entire onus is on you :))

OOC: I know that, Rinaldo don't know it... if there is a way, I want to find it, but teh question is, do I have the way with teh ressources I have.

(OOC: At least one way exists by which Rinaldo can do something with only his current resources (he still has the adamantine dagger, right?). However, it isn't immediately obvious and requires specialised knowledge that I have but the PCs do not. There may be other ways I hadn't considered. If you think of one, that would be cool, and I'd probably give some extra XP, but I expect that the best way is the way of which I'm thinking)

"Rayne, can you analyse the field? I'm wondering why the sunrod have dissapeared after my rapier. If the field was a perfect spehere affecting all matter and magic equally, the sunrod should have dissapeared first. i wonder if we cannot us ethat flaw to our advantage." asks Rinaldo

"It would require time and careful study, plus a few spells I hadn't brought with me this morning," Rayne admits, "And we have less than two minutes until this wall fails and we are exposed to Elayna again."

Rinaldo takes a copper piece and put on the ground. "Why does the floor isn't affected like everything that move toward the Crux" He then make the copper piece slide toward the Crux. he notes the place it dissapeared. He then repeat the same with anotehr copper piece, but make the copper piece slide slower and note where it dissapear.
