The Crux of the Matter

"The suites of Protection or Magic Circle spells may help stem the tide, I think. Unfortunately, I failed to expand my knowledge of those spells." Ashnar says, clearly angry at his failure.

"I have protection from energy and chaos available, though neither is currently in my selection of spells prepared for today." replies Tenebrynn.

"I meant the latter type, actually. I could prepare it as well, and also have a scroll of it." Ashnar replies, looking upwards to the top of the tower, an odd thought on his mind.

Looking up too, "You got an idea Ashnar? I've got a summoning spell that might bring us help if you wanted to take a closer look." says Tenebrynn.

"No, it's just an odd thought that crossed my mind, and probably simply based on coincidence. But this tower is a product or source of powerful magic, and its influence has increased the closer we came. What if someone had tried to... emulate the Towers Arcane? But taking a closer look at the higher portions of the tower is a good idea." With that, Ashnar concentrates on his link with Fareye.

"Emulate? It is not an easy task, and it is something I've enver tried to do. Too dangerous I think. I don't want to think what could happen to to someone try to emulate chronomancy powers." tells Rinaldo. "So, you are all really determine to enter the tower now?" tells the merchant, unable to hide a small heisstation in his voice.

[SBLOCK=Ashnar]*Ashnar can't see through his link with Fareye, but he does get empathic feelings from his familiar, and with those he pieces together that the tower is tall and solid, and then as Fareye rises, the link gets a bit sketchy, sometimes seeming like Ashnar is getting multiple signals from Fareye and others as if Fareye simply isn't there any more, or with a delay. It is up to Ashnar whether to keep his familiar going or call him back where it is relatively safe, for who knows what creatures lurk up there in the mists?*[/SBLOCK]

"Return, Fareye." Ashnar calls the familiar back. "As was to be expected, the temporal oddity becomes even more pronounced further up."

"Uhh, wasn't the point of the seal to keep it sealed? I guess I wouldn't make it so you can open it," Laynie replies to Vanitri, "Though since it says not to unseal the door unless you're prepared to do something, it must mean it can be unsealed though."
