OOC: Patlin, what sort of cover is around?

There are 3 dark alleys which people can duck into, and the back side of a low quality rooming house faces the designated area. There are no windows on the first floor of the rooming house, but you might be able to rent a room on the second floor. They have balconies overlooking the area, although they seem a bit rickety.

Gorefoot looks about and spies one of the balconies on the second floor of the rooming house. "I'll be up there, that way I can get the drop on him, heh heh." Chuckling at what he thinks is a very clever joke, Gorefoot goes to rent a room.

Gorefoot aquires the room. The landlord won't rent it at less than 5 days at a time, which will cost one gold piece.

Also, starting tomorrow I will be gone for a week on a Ski Trip. If there's anything you're dying to get a response too sooner than that, try to post it within the next few hours! :)

Percy

Percy decides to accompany Gorefoot. She wrinkles her nose at the poor conditions of the room, but decides it beats a dark alley. She loads her crossbow with a cold iron bolt and prepares to wait it out. If she gets sleepy, she'll offer to take turns watching.

"Sounds like a fine plan." Hopefully we could have caught a catnap at the inn before sunset so that they will be somewhat rested.

Nars merrily laughs at Gorefoot's "clever" joke.

Nars will position himself a hiding place in an alley, hopefully within 30 ft. He retrieves his cold iron dagger from its hiding place and puts it on his belt. At sundown, he carefully cocks his crossbow and loads a cold iron arrow. He tries to remain motionless while letting his eyes scan his entire field of view.

OOC: Hide +6, Spot +5. Darkvision 60 ft.

Ere the coming of eve, Ishmael had already examined the place of ambush. He took note of exits and any obstructing terrain. By that time, he had already bought himself a kukri wrought of cold iron. When all was set, he readied the trap with as much guile and subterfuge as he could muster.

The First Night Passes

It's a long and anxious night, waiting to be attacked. The streets of Orussus are quiet at night, but hardly empty. Once the sun is full up, you realize that no attack will come, at least until tonight. Exhausted from being awake all night, you take to your beds, awaking still a bit fatuiged in the earl afternoon. Some further investigation reveals another killing did take place, but after pouring over all the available information you still haven't come up with any usefull pattern. By the time you've established this, it's only half an hour before sunset. Do you want to repeat the last nights actions, trusting to luck that you will be targeted?
