The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

Percy

OOC: We're stagnating a bit here, so I'll just stumble along...

Percy continues. "We might learn some stuff from the druids of the woods, but we should also remember that someone is getting murdered every night here. That seems as important as recovering the necklace anyway, if not more so. Let's try to find a good place to set up our decoy operation."

OOC: What time of day is it?

It's currently about noon. Looking around a bit, you are able to find a bad area of town that might work well for setting an ambush. How many nights are you willing to devote to this tactic?

ooc: Can anyone tell me the aproximate population of Orussus?

OOC: Well, if it is happening every night, then I would think just one night, but that's a smart person's plan, and Gorefoot is anything but ;)

OK, you'll need to decide who will be the bait and where everyone else will be. It's your plan, so work out any details you feel are important and give me a summary when you are done hashing it out amongst yourselves. Until you tell me what you are doing, I'll probably only post if there are questions you need answered to complete the plan.

OOC: We'll start with the first night, anyway, and take it from there. Sorry if I've thrown a monkey wrench in anything...

IC: "OK. Well if we've decided, then the first thing to do is for everyone to get some cold iron weapondry. Then we should pick our decoy. The redcap probably has little fear. So even someone as tough looking as gorefoot could do. Or Ishmael. Who can hide? Rodimus, Morulas, Nars, me."

OOC: Who am I forgetting?

IC: "Since robery seems part of it, the decoy should appear somewhat wealthy, or at least have a backpack. Perhaps he could pretend to be waiting for someone, and the rest of us could hide in the viscinity."

Ishmael was willing to volunteer, though not enthusiastically so. He had a owlbear pelt cloak (with a violet lining) and a bejeweled brooch (with the Stonespike dwarf symbol) to make him look the part. Not that he was comfortable with looking wealthy at all, given his Order's strictures.

Since he was the smallest of the party, he thought that would make an attractive target for the ambush. He lacked cold iron melee weaponry though. He thought of buying a cold iron kukri to solve that problem.

Persephone will buy 20 cold iron bolts for her crossbow. Once I figure out how much that costs, I'll subtract it from her gold, and modify her CS.

Monkey wrenches are among my favorite things to DM, anyway. :)
