The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

Seeing Jack grow angry and his companions beginning to come to Ishmael's aid, Nars looses a crossbow bolt at Jack hoping to take him down with one well placed shot.

OOC:
Nars delays until after another party member attacks, then fires.
Attack: +4, Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 (sneak attack, hopefully)

Round 1
As Ishmael cries out and begins to lift his shield, Jack slashes at him with a dagger. The blow is quick and precise, slicing a nasty gouge in the brave halfling (13 pts damage.)

Rodimus throws a shuriken, which goes wide and clatters into one of the alley's walls. Stepping forward, he is ready to throw again.

The outbreak of hostilities seems to have made up the indecive henchman's mind... he run's for it.

Gorefoot's jump off the balcony is well done, and he manages not to get hurt in the fall. As he comes in, Jack slashes at him with his dagger, but goes wide. Gorefoots blow is also a miss.

Smarting from the blow, Ishmael brings his shield to bear, his eyes filled with resolve.

Jack curses angrilly as his other supposed friend runs from the scene.

(Persephone goes here.)

Nar's fires a crossbow bolt, which misses Jack and burries itself point first into the ground, amidst the cobblestone.

(Morulas goes here.)

Unless Jack is taken down, Rodimus charges the sucker and sucker-punches him.

OoC: Deciding to charge in, dealing nonlethal damage.

Growling with bestial aggression, Ishmael pounced upon Jack, trying to grapple him and thus, open him to the attacks of his comrades.

oog: Using Dodge feat on Jack if I haven't done so already.

(I take it Morulas is taking no action.)

Jack, abandoned by his 'friends' and suddenly outnumbered, makes a run for it as well. Those in melee range may make attacks of opportunity if they wish.

Gorefoot - Gnome Barbarian 2

OOC: Gorefoot will take a swing at him with the flat of his blade. I think using a weapon not designed to inflict subdual to inflict subdual imposes a -4 attack penalty.

"Rust!", Nars curses as his shot falls woefully short.

If Ishmael succeeds in his grapple:
Nars charges forward and takes a swing with a balled fist at Jacks face.
Attack +3, Damage 1d3+2+1d6 (sneak attack)

If not:
Nars reloads his crossbow and fires at the back of the fleeing thug.
Attack +4, Damage 1d8

Either way:
Nars growls a low, wordless "GRRRR" in distaste as their carefully laid trap has been sprung by the wrong quarry. Given the groups poor aim though, perhaps it is best they were not attacked by a more dangerous foe.

OOC: Nars doesn't realize quite how badly Ishmael has been injured.
