The Party Sets Out

A small band heads out towards the Faerie Woods. Ishmael, riding courage, makes for an imposing sight even in spite of his small size, providing the party with a mounted knight in escort. Persephone, with some help from Nars, leads a pack mule, upon which the party can place any extra gear to avoid encumberance. Gorefoot stays near Persephone's side, ready to protect her from harm, while Rodimus roams a bit more loosely as the march North begins.

A few hours into the trip, the party sees a trio of horsemen heading south. Persephone recognizes their livery from a good distance off, they appear to be in the service of Monemvasia.

Morulas seems to have been delayed, and you are not sure if he will meet up with you somewhere upon the road. (Zweishneid, let us know if you are still out there.)

Persephone

"Oh, excuse me, I may know these people, but I prefer to remain anonymus." Percy, having reclaimed her hat of disguise from Ismael, moves behind Courage, raises her hand to her bow, and suddenly her hair, eyes and skin darken, her clothes become looser and more colorful. She now resembles an exotic gypsy than a pampered princess.

The riders move on by, apparently not noticing anything out of the ordinary. One gives Ishmael a haughty look while riding by, but otherwise they take no notice of you.

Does the party wish to move on, or does someone intend to take issue with the riders?

Does Percy recognize any of the riders?

One of them does look familiar, a young man named Thomas. He was fairly new when you left Monemvasia, and you aren't sure where his loyalties lie.

Percy

"Greetings, good sirs!" calls out Persephone. "How are the roads ahead, praytell? And how fairs things in Monemvassia? It's been several long years since I last visited your fair city."

Ishmael accepted the affront with a practiced calm. He was accustomed to the scorn that higher nobility heaped upon his insignificant order.

He did, however, give a polite nod of greeting to those that passed the peasant halfling knight by without snubbery.

Thoms stops to answer Persephone's question, but his fellows (including the one that gave Ishmael the dirty look) continue on as if they weren't even addressed.

"The road ahead is clear, ma'am. Monemvasia fairs well, except the nation is saddened by the fact that our princess is missing. One of our tasks is to seek workd of her."

He provides a reasonably apt description of Persephone, and asks if you have seen her.
