The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

The sound of befuddlement escapes Ishmael's lips. "These spells are a handful more than I expected. Perhaps, I should be more careful in future attempts. Is everyone well, current situation nonwithstanding?"

(I'm taking a composite of the different comments, as I'm not sure there is 100% agreement. Let me know if you have strong objections.)

The party begins to move forward as a group, circling around from the southeast corner to the northeast corner. Nars, invisible, prepares to take advantage of his concealed state, walking alongside Sir Ishmael at the front of the group. Persephone walks towards the middle of the group, urging some haste due to the fact that her spell on Nars is about to expire. Rodimus and Gorefoot, each for their own reasons, take up defensive positions one on each side of the charismatic princess.

As you round the corner of the ruined keep, you can clearly hear the scrape of stone on metal as the Redcap brings his scythe to the ready.

"Who is out there? Guests coming to dinner? How sweet when my prey comes calling at my door!"

ooc: Please roll initiative. If you want any of the above to be revised, please mention that in the same post.

Edit: Also, the squares are indeed 5'

initiative (1d20+3=18)

Nars reacts quickly to the sound of the redcap, moving forward until he is close enough (30 feet) to stick a good shot at the redcap. He thinks, Good, its not running off right away. Hopefully its overconfidence, or confidence anyway, will give us time to get the necklace.

OOC: Shot +4, Damage 1d8 + 1d6 sneak attack.
Edit: Nars double moves to D19. Moving silently with a -5 penalty for full speed. Total modifier +0. Hopefully the sounds of everyone else will provide a sufficient distraction that he won't notice.

That's a pretty big small keep. :)

OOC: Initiative: 4+6 = 10.

"Your reign of terror is over! Eat Purple Fire!" Shouts Percy. Two small purple balls of flame burst from her two extended fingers, flying unerringly at the redcap.

OOC: Spells cast: mage armor (x2), magic missile, invisibility

Heh. See what happens when your draftsmanship is made up solely of "Hey, that looks OK on the page!" In my defence though, it's a small keep not a single small structure like a tower. When it was in one piece it probably boasted a stable, a barracks, the lord's manor, and possibly even a smithy. There would have been a large clear area, too, where livestock could have been brought in and protected from raids.

Now I'm probably making the drawing seem too small for the keep, but either way it's only as presice as it needs to be. :)

Initiative vs Redcap (1d20+3=8)

Ishmael moves to stay between Percy and the evil Fey.

"Come out and face us, fiend! We shall see who be the prey this day!"

AC: 19, Glaive +7 1d8+5

oog: Ishmael will cast one of his True Strike spells, taking a five foot step back if assailed by the creature.

edit: Ishmael will also move down four squares to H27.

ooc: I'm going to update the map with positions, and the encounter is starting at greater distance than some of you seem to assume, as the Redcap heard you coming and shouted a challenge from a ways off. In case you want to plan your actions before I get home and can update the map. the party is in the general area of d-27 and the redcap has moved to k-15. For those who have allready posted, feel free to edit the above posts once the map is up. I'd also prefer grid coordinates of where you want to end up. Thanks!

Redcap
Nars

The Redcap grins evilly at you, waiting for you to attack. ooc: Full defense.

I'll update once I'm sure everyone has had a chance to look at the map.
