The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

Round 11 Concludes
Ishmael moves up to the Redcap, slicing at him in attempted just retribution. The halfling is more infuriated than alarmed by his miss.

Round 12 begins

Initiative
Nars (15 damage of 14 hp, -2)
Redcap (54 damage) and starting to look hurt
Rodimus (21 damage of 18 hp, -4)
Persephone (12 damage of 21 hp)
Ishmael

Nars fails to stabilize, dropping to -3.

Shoving the necklace into his shirt and away from any easy grip, the Redcap once more takes up his scythe and assumes a threatening stance.

Rodimus stabilizes at -4.

Fridley performs the withdraw action, escaping unharmed.

(Persephone goes next)

Percy

OOC: Whoops, I'd missed where Nars was taken down

Percy's actions: [sblock]Still invisible, Percy wil move the glowing, blurry figure West, hoping the Redcap's eyes will follow it and this cause it to look away from Nars. Percy will take the 5 foot step towards Nars. If the Recap turns away from her, she will kneel and open the healing 'egg' at his face. She will keep her face near as well, in case its a gas that could benefit them both. If its a liquid, she'll try to pour it into his mouth.[/sblock]

Ishmael jumps backward twice trying to draw the Redcap away from his friends. (1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=21) As soon as he was out of reach, the Deep Halfling draws once more upon his innate sorcery.

A vision is shown him and he knows that his next hit within the next few moments will NOT miss.

Something explodes in the general vicinity of Nars, sending waves of healing energy into Nars, Persephone and Rodimus. Each is healed for 2d8+11=18.

Ishmael backs up a bit, casting true strike. (Nimisgod, did you check for armor penalty?)

Round 13 begins

Initiative
Nars (Prone but unharmed)
Redcap (54 damage) and starting to look hurt
Rodimus (3 damage of 18 hp)
Persephone
Ishmael

(Nars is up next)

Percy

"Wow - awesome!" says Percy's voice from above Nars. "Nars - its OK, but move! Go get your crossbow and bolts. Rodimus, Ishmael! Keep away from him; he's too dangerous."

actions: [sblock]Percy will move to Gorefoot's corpse, and pick up his kukri. balnce check: 14. Success![/sblock]

OOG: True strike is Verbal and Arcane Focus only. With no Somatic components, there is no need to check for Arcane Spell failure.

Oops! I must be slipping, I think I had the other end of this conversation in Burning Tower. :o

Rodimus shakes his head to clear the cobwebs, only to be greeted by the dead face of his gnomish associate. Next thing he notes is that the redcap is still quite alive and too close to him for his taste.
Taking in the scene, the half-orc comes to the conclusion that there isn't much for him to lose, so he tries to grap a hold of the fey, but fails to keep his grip.

OOC: 73 pts of dmg!?! Holy crap! In my campaign, that would have been a beheading, or some even more gruesome death. Alas poor Gorefoot; I loved him well, Icycool.

I considered a beheading, but decided I wanted to keep the graphic violence to more of a PG level. I suppose we can call him "Nearly Headless Gorefoot" but he doesn't quite qualify for the Headless Hunt.

I'm going to hold off on updates for a bit, to give Slag a chance to check back in. It's natural to assume that once you're unconcsious, you don't need to check the thread as often, and I also think he said something about being unavailable for a few days.
