IC: Rodimus waits that one of the beasts comes within 30ft of the cottage. Until then, he does his best to stay unnoticed on the roof.
 

Percy

Percy will open fire with her magic missiles when she spots a warg. She'll also have her loaded crossbow ready.

I forgot to ask, but if there's a longspear and/or a mace or mornstar available, she'll take have them with her.
 


Gorefoot remains tense, a javelin in one hand ready to strike the first worg he sees, the other resting on his sword. When Nars shouts out his warning, Gorefoot almost starts towards that side of the cottage. Remembering that Persephone is nearby, he remains rooted to the spot, straining to hear or see any approaching foes.

Round 1 Continues

Gorefoot, hearing the horses start, is tempted to investigate, but stays at his post in order to protect Persephone. He spends his time making an extra effort to see or hear aproaching enemies, but notices nothing.

Rodimus also refuses to be pulled out of position, and assumes a fighting stance -- he is ready to strike should a wolf come near.

Persephone waits, mystic syllables waiting on her lips, ready to blast a Worg with the disrupting energy she calls "purple fire."

Somewhere in the darkness, Worgs prepare to attack with wolfish cunning.

Nars takes a shot at the Worg, who is 100' away from him in the darkness. Outside of the range on his darkvision in the dim lighting, the wolf gains the benefit of concealment. It also recieves a cover bonus to AC as their are 3 horses and a tree between him and the Worg. Nars misjudges the location of the wolf in the darkness and the bolt goes wide of both the Worg and the horses.

Ishmael prepares for an attack, ready to strike at any adversary that comes close.

More Worgs slink unseen in the darkness, setting their devilish plans into action.

The horses, terrified, are bucking and straining against their tethers.

OOC: Just realized I forgot to include the +1 masterwork bonus on Nars shot so attack roll should be 21. He does not have precise shot.

ooc: On futher examination of the map, I realized the Worg wasn't quite within melee range of the horse, so that penalty was not applied. (It became moot when I rolled the concelment miss chance anyway.)

Round 2 Begins
Snarling at the horses once more, the Worg disapears into the bushes to the southeast.

(Gorefoot is up next.)
 

Straining to hear what is going on, Gorefoot again almost leaves his post. He grits his teeth, and then settles in, waiting for the attack. He readies his javelin so that he can hurl it at the first worg he sees.

OOC: Ready action to throw a javelin at the first worg to come within his range.
 

Rules question: [SBLOCK]Concealment provides a 20% miss chance. If the worg has total concealment (50% miss chance) then Nars would not have been able to spot him in the first place. I realize that the shot Nars took was very difficult so I'm fine with the end result of him missing if that's what ends up happening. I didn't actually realize it was fully night when the worg appeared.[/SBLOCK]
