The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

(Carrying a greatsword in one hand is indeed possible, though I suppose I might onject if a character with a really low strength tried it. You can't attack or even threaten an area with it unless you have it in both hands though. A greatsword wielder doesn't need to actually drop the sword in order to drink a potion or any of a zillion other things you might want to use one hand to do.)

OOC: Good, I'm not looking to attack with it, just have it near. And I hope Gorefoot's 16 Str is sufficiently high :)

Percy

"Gwenny!" Percy shouts. She launches Fridly off her arm through the small hole in the window. "Keep up with her, Fridly. Try to keep her going too far. Stay safe!"

OOC: If there's no room to launch through the window, Percy will (foolishly, perhaps), run to the door and open it, then close it again once Fridly is gone.

Percy does realize that the wargs are probably in the opposite direction of the horse's flight. If she can't see them out the west window, she'll run to the south window and look out there.

Round 4 Concludes
Rodimus continues to lay in wait.

Persephone, rushing to the door to send Fridly after Gwen, has a slight shock when she pulls on the nob. Apparently, the reason Trimble didn't bother to barricade the door as he did the windows in because the door is under the effects of an Arcane Lock spell, and will only open to his personal touch. Seeing Persephone's desire to get the door open, he rushes to her side. He will have it open for her on her next action.

Nars continues to scan the area for targets, ready to let fly.

Ishmael becomes convinced that no evil lurks near his position.

Still panicked, Horses 2, 3, and 4 continue to flee the area. They head northwest at full speed. Horse 1 manages to break free from its tether.

Convinced that he can do nothing for the Horses, Ishmael goes to the tethers while continuing use his Divine Inquisition Ability to scan the area,

Nars gives a small start as he sees a halfing, armed to the teeth, creeping around the shop. It's just Gorefoot. He had not yet grown accustom to Gorefoot's new face. Nars mumbles quietly with a downcast look, "The worgs are, ah, just going to, er, hunt down the horses. I, er, should let 'em get, er, closer."

The muscles in his throwing arm twitch, aching for the release and motion of combat. Not hearing anything in the immediate vicinity, Gorefoot relaxes his guard slightly, lowering the javelin. It won't do to wear myself out before the battle even starts. he thinks to himself.

OOC: Gorefoot is not readying an action this turn.

Round 5
Gorefoot relaxes, keeping his energies in reserve. He seems to sense that this part of the battle has concluded, if it ever truly started.

Rodimus continues to lay in wait.

Persephone launches her familiar into the air, in hopes that it can save the horse Gwendolyn.

Nars waits, hoping for a target but fearing that the worgs will first hunt down the horses.

Ishmael continues to scan, but it appears that the worgs are outside the modest range of his extra sense.

The horses disapear from view to the northwest.

*** end of combat, for now ***

As time passes, it becomes clear to everyone that the Worgs have, at least for the moment, left the area. Neither Fridley nor any of the horses return for the next while, though Persephone knows her familiar at least is unharmed. She gets the vague impression that the Worgs are chasing the horses, and are nothwest of the cabin.

It's possible they were there to begin with, and that only one moved to the southeast in order to frighten them into running toward the pack.
