For those following along at home...

I am briefly re-opening recruiting, looking for a dragonborn character and a tiefling character. Any class and background, but only those two races, and only one of each. These characters will be interacting with their races' ambassadors quite a bit, in addition to the other PCs, so keep that in mind.

I can play a Dragonborn, maybe even a cleric to sort of replace the one lost. Or maybe a paladin. I am not as familiar with 5e, so it will take me longer to get a concept than normal for me. Should be less than a week though.

I will need to read up more on the premise before getting a background though.

Edit: After looking the other stuff over, Dargonborn Paladin is the more appealing of my ideas.

Very groovy. :) Let me know what you come up with for background. Be sure to join the campaign group and have a look at the setting material.

Thanks, I put in the request to join. I actually looked through the setting information before deciding on Paladin over cleric. I think playing a son of a second cousin to G’Kar might work, having him be related in the same age difference like a nephew, but not as closely as a nephew. I think this will work out well from what I remember from watching Babylon 5.

Coming up with the fluff is going to be pretty easy as I have half of it already thought of in my head. :p

Character Name: Castagyr
Gender/Race: Male Dragonborn (Gold)
Age: 18
Class: Paladin
Role: Heavy Damage Dealing Melee, Leader

Character Sheet

Description:
Castagyr was a tall and muscular looking humanoid with golden scales. He walked upright on powerful looking legs, and his strong arms had claws at the end of his fingers. His eyes were blue and despite his fearsome looking dragon visage, there was a peaceful looking expression about it. There were several little horns about his head and eyes, the large ones on the top ticking straight back behind him. Despite looking like a dragon, he still wore the clothes and trappings of a typical humanoid person.

Personality:
Castgyr was a kind hearted and patience person at times. While most of his life he has been the physically strongest one around, he never had to prove it and instead was taught to be mentally strong instead. He believes in honor and keeping his word. He sees himself as a protector of the weak and defender of the innocent. He doesn't try to preach these believes, preferring instead to lead by example instead. However, he doesn't agree that evil can be redeemed and often feels that battle will be inevitable. For those he is not forgiving and will take it upon himself to be judge and executioner if necessary. he swore an Oath of Vengeance upon those tieflings that killed his family.

~ "Despite my noble birth, I do not place myself above other folk. We all have the same blood."
~ "It is my duty to respect the authority of those above me, just as those below me must respect mine."
~ "My loyalty to my sovereign is unwavering."
~ "I too often hear veiled insults and threats in every word addressed to me, and I’m quick to anger."

Background:
Most of Castagyr's immediate family was killed during a tiefling raid at the end of the war. The lands his family was sworn to protect, ravaged and pillaged. His mother survived under the protection of an aging uncle that lost an arm in the wars. When the young dragonborn was hatched, he was raised on the stories his uncle told. That bastard tiefling pirate (his uncle's description) was still alive and treated like a noble for his years of service.

The young dragonborn was fostered by a cousin of his uncle, hoping he would be taken into service and trained. His mother went along and stayed on the estates, but his training was among the warriors. His fostering relative was the younger brother of G'Kar. Upon reaching his adulthood, he had the promise of great potential as a warrior. However his mother's influence had tempered him and he was not consumed by vengeance at all costs.

His fostering father sent him on to the Fifth City, hoping the ambassador would have some use for the golden scaled lad. If nothing else, he might just run into the tiefling noble that had been responsible for pillaging the family estate.

Looks good. The relationship between Castagyr and G'Kar should be interesting as G'Kar is a little less than noble. ;)

I will write you in to the IC thread with the next update. Welcome aboard! :D

I'd be interested in joining if you are still looking. As it would appear that you need a tiefling character I thought that maybe a Vir-like character could fit (even leaning towards calling him Veer...). Somewhat too naive and kind-hearted to truly function in tiefling society, and a little too open to the cultures of other races than is good for him. He works for Mollari, but rather than a diplomatic attache is used more as a kind of field agent, using whatever class skills he has (I'm open to any class suggestions depending on what is needed, although currently leaning towards Bard). Mollari doesn't think he's up to much, but tries to use him where he thinks he can cause the least damage to reputation of the Hundred Lands, maybe to a certain extent trying to protect his foolish young assistant.

Sounds good. Please give me a heads up here when you do. To preserve my IC ignorance, I was not intending to read anything in the IC thread until Castagyr is present.

Maybe Castagyr was sent to help keep G’Kar from going too far, figuring a stiff-necked paladin under his responsibility might rub off. ;)

I copied my character to the RG.
